Yes, it was a completely normal holiday crossing, it wasn't bumpy. It was just completely normal. It didn't take long. I think it was only 20 minutes, definitely worth doing for the price, great.

This ferry is not a “fast” ferry but literally it’s a difference of something like ten minutes. The VIP Experience made an otherwise possibly stressful situation quite easy. We were met near the ticket windows with signs with our names on them and escorted directly to the VIP waiting area and then onward to the private VIP lounge aboard, where a welcome drink and snacks were served. We were also escorted off and accompanied until we had our luggage. They even helped us book our onward transfer to our resort on Moorea. Highly recommended.Tip : The ticket windows are not upstairs by the terminal restaurant and VIP lounge where you might expect, but downstairs at ground level, past the “right hand side” elevator and near the waterfront (facing the water). There is no appreciable signage. Take note of the name of the operator so you get to the right place.

I got so stressed trying to book tickets for the ferry from Papeete to Moorea direct with the ferry online - half in French and couldn’t understand the conditions etc. It was a bit more expensive through Cool Destinations but I thought it was worth paying a bit more, knowing we were definitely booked and paid for through a trusted company where you can choose which currency to pay & understand the conditions. It was easy peasy swapping the Cool Destinations voucher for a ticket once in Papeete as well. Thanks Cool Destinations!

The VIP ferry from Papeete to Moorea was very relaxing and highly recommend.One Area to improve is the exchange of the voucher for the tickets. Booth opening time to exchange was too close to departure time and was stressful. Otherwise all good.

The ferry was spacious and not very crowded. It left later than scheduled time, but the ride was pleasant

We found all the different options and operators abit confusing, and having to book each leg separately was also complicated, so we went to the terminal and bought the return ticket at the office. One you know how it works it's OK, but trying to do it online was difficult to understand. The carpark entrance is very entered from the terminal side, the roadside one is ready to miss, it's just past the exit. Once on Moorea, don't b be fooled there's no cafes or restaurants at the terminal Just vendors selling food from a table outside selling Fruit, shrimp chips, banana bread and banana or coconut dumplings. No sandwiches or plat du jour (rice with chicken or meat) no coffee, tea, fruit drinks. Very little seating.its just a shelter not a refreshment area.

This mode of transport is the best way to get to several of the islands and allows cars to be transported also. There is a fabulous restaraunt on the ferry. It only took 45 minutes to get to Moorea from Papeete. The trip was reasonably priced.

If you leave your bulky luggage on the carts, put your name on it. When I arrived at the port, the cart had remained in Papeete. He took the next shuttle so the oversight was quickly corrected. But identifying the bag would have been easier if I had put a tag on it. 1-hour crossing. You must arrive 30 minutes before. There is a good restaurant in the station.

Easy ferry transfer to Mo'orea. The ship was large which made for a relaxing, smooth trip. The staff were accommodating and joyful as well. Much preferred this transfer to the smaller catamaran ferry.

Nice and comfortable accommodations inside the ferry. Check-in was easy and the staff was very kind and hospitable.

For someone who didn’t understand the language I followed the crowd. The tickets are purchased on ground floor at the back of the building then walk up to second floor to go on the ferry.
