Absolutely worth every penny! The company called a car (uber) to get us to the beach. Our group had experienced people with us and we were the only first time surfers, so we had an instructor to ourselves. He was amazing and we were all up on the boards surfing the waves in no time. After the lesson, we were allowed to stay at the beach and we could let them know when we were ready to uber back. And they even called the car to bring us straight to our hotel instead of the meeting spot. 10/10. Definitely recommend.

Amazing experience with Special Surf 78! The instructors were incredibly kind, patient, and dedicated. They put a lot of effort into teaching, explained everything clearly, and gave everyone individual attention. I accidentally left my GoPro with them, and they are doing everything they can to arrange its return and send it back to me. I truly appreciate their exceptional kindness and willingness to help. Surfing with them was an absolute pleasure—highly recommended!

Amazing surf class today by Rafa, Vera and João 🙏 Easy to understand what they wanted me to do and to learn from my mistakes and get even better for next surf class 💪 The surf school is well located on the beach with very good waves for all surf levels. Best surf school, amazing teachers
Special Surf 78 is the best surf school in Peniche - the teachers are all very socially competent, they give individual feedback after class and during lessons, which helps a lot to improve technique, and it is great fun too. The groups are not too big and everything is perfectly organised despite a lot of demand in the summer. I had a perfect experience both as a beginner and in the outside, big recommendation. They also do classes for children or people with special needs, great experience.

Pictures taken during surfing turned out great. We came to Portugal to surf, and absolutely chose the right school to do so.

Antonio was very patient and correct with the children (8y and 12y) and taught them as beginners in small groups. They experienced his surfing lessons very well and were excited about their result after 5 lessons! A very reliable instructor with a lot of experience and punctual on the appointments! Attaches great importance to safety, and therefore always checks the location with the best conditions the evening before. Highly recommended!

Super fun lesson
The hardest part was getting into the wetsuit. The lesson was super fun. I did the lesson solo but my partner was able to accompany me on the pick up and drop off ride provided by the shop. And was also able to come to the beach to watch the lesson. It was super fun and the instructor was very nice and an all around happy guy. Would recommend this experience.
