Description
Come along on a Miami to Key West snorkeling tour that includes a sightseeing trip down the length of the Florida Keys on the amazing Overseas Highway followed by an afternoon of snorkeling over the living coral reefs found in the unspoiled waters of the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary. The Overseas Highway is one of America’s top-ranked scenic drives, and the rich tropical waters around Key West attract thousands of snorkelers and divers each year. With convenient free pickup service from most major Miami hotels, this easy-to-arrange combination of a luxury coach tour to unique Key West and an undersea snorkel adventure is sure to be a highlight of any Miami visit.
South of Florida City, U.S. Highway 1 runs through the wet wilderness of the Southern Everglades then leaves the mainland on the crossing to Key Largo, northernmost of the Florida Keys. From there, the road becomes the legendary Overseas Highway, once the route of an early 20th century rail line to Key West and now a world-class marvel of highway engineering. Famous for views of emerald water that stretches to the horizon on both sides of the roadway, the highway climbs onto the renowned Seven Mile Bridge on the southwest end of Marathon Key.
This awesome span stretches across open water, giving such an impressive feeling of speed and flying that the bridge has been the setting for several action movies including James Cameron’s True Lies and the Fast and Furious series. Keep your camera handy as the coach reaches the end of the bridge and glides onto land at deserted Little Duck Key. Now the road traverses the Lower Keys, where sparkling bays, lush tropical foliage, sandy coves, and small towns recall old times in the Keys when explorers, pirates, smugglers, and adventurous pioneers ruled an untouched marine wonderland. Time seems to fly by as fast as the scenery, and soon it is about 12:00 noon and the coach is rolling into Key West.
Now it’s time to cast off aboard a high-tech ocean catamaran for your own marine adventure. Work on your tan or chill in the shade during a short, scenic cruise out to the Florida Reef. When the captain gives the word, friendly crew members are ready with top quality snorkeling gear and any helpful instruction that a first-time snorkeler might need. Minutes later, you will be slipping into calm, clear water over North America’s only living coral reef and getting close-up views of hundreds of colorful fish and many other marine animals. Relax and float serenely along the surface – if you are quiet and lucky, you might spot a sea turtle or one of Key West’s famous big game fish.
When you come back on board, take a freshwater shower to rinse off the salt and lift a complimentary beverage to toast the day. The boat arrives back to port with plenty of time left for you to explore Old Town or grab a bite to eat. Feel free to enjoy the famous Key West Happy Hour specials because you have a professional driver to get you safely back to Miami by around 10:00 pm. You can pack a lot of vacation fun into a single day on this Miami to Key West Day Trip with Snorkeling package, but seats fill up fast so reserve your spot now with our 100% secure online booking system.

Our guide Ari was informative and enthusiastic. We had a great time! It was nice that they offer hotel pick up. Only recommendation would be more communication about the process. It was raining and they were behind schedule, but it was communicated until very late.Overall it was a fantastic day and we had a great time!

Day trip and snorkeling to Key West.
Angel A, Apr 2022 Verified
We had a nice bus ride to Key West from Miami and then we went on a snorkeling tour. The crew were super friendly and professional. Everyone was very helpful and attentive. The margaritas that were included in the price were delicious and unlimited. They also had beer and wine. But overall it was a great trip. We ended the day at the Hard Rock Cafe then back to the bus. Got a good nap on the way back to Miami. Our guide, Orlando was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks for a great time!
A day trip to Key West is a must
Emily M, Apr 2022 Verified
We loved the day trip to Key West, such a charming place with lots to see for a day. The trip is quite a long drive, but the coach was comfortable (although very air conditioned, so take a jumper)!
We didn’t get the trolley or conch train as it was about $45 each, and it was all quite walkable to see the main things. Lots of shops and bars to go in. We had lunch at Conch Republic Seafood Company and it was the best food, amazing fresh fish and friendly staff.
Knowledgeable tour guide

Comfortable ride
Fun + comfortable!

Highly recommend!! I was a bit wary after reading reviews, but I couldn’t recommend this enough. The bus arrived on time, the seats were very comfortable, we stopped off for breakfast, and the tour guide was great (& funny). You get a full 6 hours on the island. We went on a Saturday, and there was hardly any traffic, so thats nothing to worry about, so it’s roughly 4 hours to get there. Air con is strong on the bus, I’d recommend bringing a jumper, snacks, and water.
Great choice

The experience was great and our tour guide and driver was awesome . This will be a trip that we do more often. It was worth every cent we paid and would recommend to anyone especially if you are the one that will be driving since you will be able to enjoy the beautiful scene and and not focus solely on the road.
