Overview
Come join us SCUBA diving some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many different reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different sites on the reef. The sites are chosen by the captain based on the day's sea conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific sites.
IMPORTANT: You MUST be SCUBA certified with recent dive experience for this activity. If you have not been diving in more than one year, you may be required to hire a guide at an additional charge. If you have not been diving in over two years, you will be required to take a refresher course. Single divers may be required to hire a guide.

In a word, AWESOME!
Capt. Chris and Brandon were fantastic. They were super attentive and helped with anything needed. Brandon switched gear for us and got us prepped for the dives.
Easy to get to the dock and plenty of parking...literally right next to the boat.
Great knowledge of where to dive...I highly recommend.The reefs are unreal...just beautiful. Easy shallow diving.The only suggestion I have is that they wrap the ladder with some sort of non-slip neoprene or something to help hang on....

Once again we rely on the expertise of Pirates Cove Watersports to deliver a superb dive experience and once again they delivered! Three days of diving with this group and everyday was the very best it could be! Captain Kate, Captain Brad, First Mate Brandon were all professional, but fun! They brought us to several reef dives at new and exciting locations each day along with the weekend highlight of a double dip on the Spiegel Grove! Make the right choice when diving in Key Largo and go with this group!

Pirate's Cove is one of our favorite dive companies. Always professional and friendly staff, great equipment, nice boat, and great diving. We dove with Christina as our guide. She was fantastic! Very nice and laid back, patient with my daughter who has ear issues. We would choose to dive with her as our dive guide any day of the weekBrad and Hadriam were also excellent as the boat captains/divemasters.We saw sea turtles, nurse sharks, lobsters, and more fish than you can imagine. The water was clear and a perfect temp.

It was absolutely AMAZING! I’ve never had an experience like this one! I’ve did scuba diving before when I was younger, but could barely remember about it! But today was awesome! Kudos to Mr Murphy! Had him as my instructor today, the tips he had, like pro tips from someone that clearly does that for a loong time! He was easy to understand and veery friendly! The dives were chill and beautiful! A loot of wild life, day was perfect! And also cheers to the Captain and our deck Captain! Absolutely amazing experience!

Captain Caiti and crew did an AWESOME JOB! This was my daughters check out dive for certification. Even though we had our dive master with us, the crew was attentive, helpful, and fun! We felt safe and taken care of the entire time. We will be back and highly recommend this outfit!

Nice 30 minutes boat ride to the Molasses Reef. Two easy dives with maximum depth of around 12 meters. Bit of current. The reef comes up from the sandy bottom and creates small walls with plenty of fish. As it is not deep, reef and fish are colourful. Water was not completely clear, probably as a result of the tropical storm of a couple of days ago.
As to our host, captain Brad, you cannot hope for a better one. Capable skipper, diver, tour guide and above all a very pleasant personality.

The 1st Mate “H” & Captain Chris were great! It was a bad day as in the waves were choppy, but they kept trying until they found us a place. They were very informative & helpful. The Pirates Cove store had everything you could need. The cashiers even suggested Bovine due to water conditions which was much appreciated! I do wish the underwater cameras were working, but tech happens.
