Brighton Self-Guided City Walking Tour & Scavenger Hunt
Overview
Brighton built a Mughal palace for a British prince, gave Banksy his first walls, and has been refusing to be normal ever since.
This app-led scavenger hunt takes you through central Brighton on foot, using phone-based riddles to guide you from one landmark to the next. No guide, no fixed start time.
• Follow clues to Banksy's Kissing Coppers, Brighton Palace Pier, and Brighton Pavilion — three landmarks covering street art, Victorian engineering, and royal eccentricity in one route
• Start whenever suits you and take all the time you need — no time limit, no pressure
• Works for families, friend groups, and art enthusiasts; photo challenges at the Pavilion are as dramatic as the building itself
Around 2 hours, any group size, available in English.
Brighton has been making its own rules since 1783 — your phone is about to show you how.

What To Expect
Starting at Queens Road in central Brighton, enter your 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message into the free Explorial app and begin a self-guided trail through one of England's most distinctive seaside cities.
Banksy's Kissing Coppers mural — one of the most reproduced pieces of street art in the world, depicting two police officers in an embrace — is the trail's first major landmark, where challenges probe the artist's Brighton roots and the public reaction the mural provoked.
The trail continues to Brighton Palace Pier, the quintessential British seaside pier stretching into the English Channel since 1899 — questions cover the pier's Victorian engineering, its amusement arcade culture, and the two piers Brightonians lost to storms and fire.
At Brighton Pavilion, the extraordinary royal pleasure palace built for George IV in an Indo-Saracenic style, you'll tackle riddles about the Prince Regent's obsession with Eastern design and the remarkable interiors inside.
The trail takes around two hours at your own pace, with no guide and no fixed schedule.
