What To Expect
Head to St Mary's Cathedral on King Street — that's where the trail begins. Open the Explorial app, enter your 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, select English, and tap Start.
The route winds through Aberdeen's grey-granite centre. At the Music Hall on Union Street, a riddle asks you to look closely at the Victorian façade for a detail most people walk past every day. Outside the Aberdeen Maritime Museum, a photo challenge puts you and the group to work with the harbour behind you. The Aberdeen Art Gallery brings an observation task that rewards anyone who looks up rather than straight ahead. The pace is entirely your own — Aberdeen's compact centre means you can pause, take a detour, or grab a coffee between stops.
You'll quickly find a rhythm of competing and collaborating — some clues are solved fastest alone, others need the whole group debating.
When the last task is complete, the app shows final scores and a ranking. You'll leave knowing the Granite City's streets better than most visitors manage in a full day.
