Top Williamsburg Day Trips & Excursions

This was a fantastic trip back in history. Matt, our guide, was wonderful. His knowledge of the Revolutionary War and life in early America was exceptional and his personality and wit made the whole tour a college worthy learning experience. This trip is definitely a “must do” for those who love American history.

The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Also a good driver.

I have this 5 stars for "Value for Money" only because we had a coupon and paid $1. I do not think it's worth $25. At the Yorktown Battlefield Museum, they had a free audio guide you could download for a driving tour as well. Now we didn't do that one so do not know the quality. We did enjoy this narrator and the fact that if you missed a turn, it tells you. We shared ear buds. It worked great. We learned a lot.

Bambi is very knowledgeable about not only the history but the area as a whole. Would request her again when we come back

When I booked this tour I was looking for something fun and off the beaten path to do with my family on our vacation, what I was not expecting was to find one of this area’s historic gems. These is soooo much history here it was astonishing, and the property and the grounds where beautiful. I was totally blown away.Out guide Bambi was a delight and was incredible and was even about to answer some of my questions I had not beenable to get on some of our other her guides we had worked with. The service was great and she was very helpful and even customized it on the fly with information that she thought we would find interesting based on different things we had talked about! This was truly an unexpected highlight of our time in Williamsburg, and I would highly recommend this tour and this location to an person or persons who was looking to add a little some extra to there trip, or who was interested in a historical gem in this area.Truly enjoyed our entire experience, thank you Bambi! Well paced and informative. The tour was led by Matt who was welcoming and knowledgeable. He went out of his way to make everyone feel involved and happy. The lunch was a surprising plus. Tasty and the team worked fast to serve us.

Weather was not great. Tour was amazing. Matt made the experience meaningful in spite of high winds and rain. Inspiring through the voice of someone who lives the history and is proud to share it.

This was a great trip Matt who is our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and about the history of this place. It was a small group and a new vehicle and the weather was perfect. I would recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys history.

Matt was great, very knowledgeable and professional. He was friendly and made an effort to talk to all of us. He’s a local so he has been surrounded by all this history from childhood. Rain in Yorktown put a damper on things but he was calm and still passed on the history of the battle and surrender. The museums are top notch and very well organized. It was great to move through ttime from 1607 to 1781!

Well, all I can say is this tour is well worth the money. Our driver believing his name was Jerry was amazing. Well spoken and funny. He made the tour well worth the trip. Even though it rained the whole time he did the best he could to accommodate us. I give two thumbs up make that four my wife says two of hers. The lunch that you get included in this tour was actually really good and plentiful.

Our guide was fabulous. He was so knowledgeable and delivered the information in such an engaging manner.

Matt, our tour leader and driver was fantastic! So knowledgeable and pleasant. He kept us engaged and taught us a great many things.

Our guide, Matt, is a former teacher, with long local family connections to the Jamestown/Willamsburg area. He is laconic, drole, very knowledgeable, languid and drives beautifully in a brand new coach. The Jamestown Settlement Museum is fabulous, and where we had our lunch, but he didn't take us on to Jamestown Island, which we chose to do the next day independently, and shouldn't be missed.

Excellent, excellent! Best tour ever! Very happy with every aspect of the tour and the guide was amazing with his knowledge, interest, and engagement with everyone at every part of the visit. It was such a fun day! Thank you Oleta and your professional guide!

Our tour guide, John, was very knowledgable. It was s great day and we saw so many things. Very educational and the best part, I didn't have to drive!

Our guid Matt was great! His expertise and knowledge of the history along our tour was excellent. Definitely recommend this tour.
