We thought Peter did a fantastic job of finding one of a kind food establishments in different neighborhoods, that served traditional delicious food. For instance... An alley cafe was our last stop and the owners mother made the charcuterie meats and the perfect ( don't know the name) phyllo dough round with pumpkin and cinnamon. Perfect! Unique establishments highlighting small business owners creating an eating experience!

We really enjoyed the trip with Alex! He was so kind and gave us all the information we needed! He even gave me his sweater after he found out I didn’t have one with me! 5/5, we had a great day!!

Really enjoyed the walk about Sofia mixing cultural and historical sites with local bites and beverages. The small group as perfect. Enjoyed talking to other guests as well as our very knowledgeable guide. The stops were quite good and sequenced well. All in all a very nice tour. Definitely recommend it.

Lovely and relaxing experience

The tracking was great because of the admirable guidance from Ivo. A lot of stories, jokes, free time and consideration of the different kind of people in the group.

I booked the day trip to climb Mount Musala through Cool Destinations, and the entire experience with Traventuria was top-tier from start to finish!If you are thinking about doing this hike, ask for Radi as your guide. Radi was phenomenal—knowledgeable, patient, and extremely attentive to everyone's pacing and safety. Throughout the trek, Radi shared fascinating insights about the Rila Mountains, local flora and fauna, and Bulgarian geography while keeping the energy super positive and encouraging. Thank you, Radi!

This was my first hiking experience, and on day 5 of a vacation + having a desk job meant, I wasn't in my best shape! I still had a really great time and it was a highlight of the trip! Some parts of the hike were steep but thanks to Megi our tour guide, I felt challenged but not out of my depth. I really appreciated her clear instructions and how she shared information. She paid attention to the group to make sure everyone was okay. We stopped when needed and she was a great leader to have with us!We lucked out on excellent weather. Make sure to bring water, snacks, cash, good shoes, and a windbreaker/rainproof coat. Treat yourself to the Bulgarian meatballs if possible at the end!

A seamless experience with Traventuria completing the 8 day self-guided hikes in the Rila and Pirin mountains. Transfers and transport were punctual with excellent flexibility to be picked up earlier depending on when I completed hikes. Excellent GPS trail resources provided for the hikes (a must for hiking solo). Stayed at wonderful family hotels with some traditional home cooking. I hadn’t expected Bulgaria to be so beautiful but the experience was further complemented by warm hospitality and an excellent travel experience with Traventuria. Many thanks for a wonderful trip!

We spent 8 days with Traventuria in the Rila and Pirin, self-guided hikes, it all worked out great. The drivers were always on time, spoke well English and were nice, the map material and GPS tracks were very good, the hotels wonderful, the food perfect, what more could you want. We will travel again with this organizer.

Did the Seven Rila Lakes and Rila Monastery tour and it was an incredible experience! Our guide, Megi, was absolutely fantastic. Her energy, guidance, and pacing throughout the hike made the whole day seamless and memorable. Highly recommend this tour

Peter is super nice and very knowledgeable, and I really appreciated that he still continued the tour even though I was the only traveller - thank you Peter xx Being a real ‘foody’ I was so excited, but unfortunately I was a bit disappointed, as I was really looking forward to a proper Bulgarian food experience. It felt a little rushed, with no slow-cooked traditional dishes or historical Bulgarian dive spots, except for the crafty little beer bar and Maya ‘the rakia lady’, which were definitely the highlight. For me the experience didn't match the price or the time involved, and I couldn’t help feeling it was a bit of a waste for both Peter and myself. I would recommend this tour for groups, but solo travellers should perhaps be told in advance and given the option to join when other travellers are booked. Wish you all the best Peter!

Great day trip with beautiful scenery, a wonderful guide and great people!

It is well worth it at a great price with a very knowledgeable guide who maintained safety at all times and spoke great English. Our guide was Megi Angelova and cannot rate her enough! I would do this tour again in a heartbeat and will be surely recommending to other likeminded travelers I meet! Thank you Megi!
