It’s exactly what you would expect. A long, relaxing day in the pool of a beautiful resort, with very easy access to the ocean below the infinity pool. It was quiet and beautiful. I do wish the bartenders were a little more friendly and attentive. The nachos and fish tacos were delicious.

We went to Mazatlan beach resort hotel. The tour guide picked us up and brought us back to the ship. We had a beautiful lunch and 2 drinks and hung out in the pool all day. It was great 😊

If you're looking for a food tour in Mazatlán, this is the one! Wendy was an absolutely amazing guide—outgoing, cheerful, and genuinely passionate about sharing her city with us. She is incredibly knowledgeable about the local cuisine and history. We left completely stuffed and armed with a great understanding of the culture and where to eat next. Months before our cruise to Mazatlán I booked the Flavor Teller “Seafood Secrets” tour. It sounded like a perfect excursion for our day in port and I liked it even more because it had limited walking. (I recently had knee surgery.) A few days before our cruise, we were notified that our itinerary had been completely changed and now instead of a Friday, we were to be in Mazatlán on Thursday. The Seafood Secrets tour was not offered on that day so we had to cancel. Our money was refunded immediately, but we were left without a tour.I checked online and the only Flavor Teller tour offered on Thursday was the Barrio Bites tour…and it was full. I was so disappointed but decided to send an email and ask if a second tour “might” be offered. Within a couple of hours, the owner, Maaike, replied that she would add a tour just to accommodate our group of four!Spending the day with Maaike felt like being with an old friend. She was full of information about local food and also the area in general. We could tell she had a wonderful working relationship with the food vendors at each stop. Luis, another guide, also came along for the day and he and my husband had a great time talking about their love of bikes!Our group has traveled a great deal and at the end of the day we all agreed Barrio Bites was one of the best tours we have ever taken. In most cases, the servings were far bigger than just samples and everything was so delicious. We would have never discovered the places we ate on our own and by the end of the day we felt like locals! Transportation to each of the seven stops in the tour was provided in an Auriga taxi which made the tour so much more enjoyable for me and my bad knee! Although this was our first visit to Mazatlán, I would love to return and take one of the other Flavor Teller tours!

Learn about the history of the town and the market before trying some local dishes I never would have encountered on my own. A really great afternoon and way to absorb some local culture!

Had been to Mazatlan previously and did a few tourist things. Wanted to try something a bit different. This was just perfect. Gives you some history of Mazatlan as walking through the streets and some great eats at the market. We would have never tried this food our own. And boy was it fantastic. As was our guide Luis!! Very knowledgeable, kind and will answer any questions you may have. The small group setting is really nice. Also to mention my husband has a gluten allergy, i emailed first and it could be accommodated. We did ask at each meal just to be extra cautious and it was all good! We actually went back a couple days later and had lunch at the market. Also took some to go smoked Marlin! Yummy!! This is a 3 hour tour we took a didi ( like uber so cost effective) from our hotel. I would highly recommend doing this!

Cool Destinations made my travel experience so much better. The tour was easy to book Cool Destinations was aware of my time concerns about ship disembarking and embarking. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and felt very safe.

Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the day feel personal and fun — sharing local history, hidden gems, and great recommendations along the way. The scenery was beautiful, and we got the perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and authentic culture.

We had our grandson with us on vacation, we wanted a fun adventure this was exactly what we were looking for. We had a great time, being novice riders the trails through the ranch and beach were so much fun. We had dinner and tequila tasting. The different flavors were great. Excellent service from the transportation driver Omar, the staff at the ranch. They have a shop with jewelry my husband found a one of a kind ring at a great price. Highly recommend this adventure

It was amazing, just like the photos, maybe even better!!David was very friendly, he reached out with instructions on where to meet right away. He had a clean vehicle and even offered us additional complimentary beverages for our ride to and from the resort.The resort itself is nestled in the heart of a shopping zone and is safe, and walkable. We spent time in the pool, on the beach and also got to shop!I can’t recommend the day enough!!!

Wendy was an amazing tour guide who took us through the historic district of Mazatlan, tasting a variety of foods along the way. It was a fun way to see the city and have some good food along the way!

This Barrio Bites tour was one of the highlights of our visit to Mazatlan! My husband and I had so much fun eating the local way. Each food stop was unique and delicious! Maaike shared many interesting stories and local food knowledge with us too. I highly recommend this tour as both a way to experience Mazatlan cuisine as well as a wonderful tour of some of Mazatlan's neighborhoods. I can honestly say that our visit to Mazatlan wouldn't have been complete without this tour!

Be prepared for A lot of authentic food that is incredible and a lot of history. Luis was very knowledgeable about the history of Mazatlan.

Luis our food tour guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. The event was so well organized and the food plentiful and delicious. All in all a 5* experience. This was my second tour and I would do it again
