Top Seoul Hiking & Camping

Must do in Seoul!!!! This hike was beyond. Challenging but so fun and worth it. Our guide Brandon (Byong Ho) was amazing. Picked us up at our hotel, got us kimbap and (surprisingly hot) tea, which we ate together l on the mountain and drove us back to our hotel! My sister and I would never have done this hike if we didn’t have Brandon with us. Could not have been a better day!! Would definitely do this again!!

I’m so glad I did this hike. It was magnificent, especially standing at the top seeing a view beyond my imagination. Brandon was great. I don’t think I would have had the courage to do this without him. He let me set the pace and helped me to choose the best course. He was incredibly helpful. I totally recommend him and this climb.

Jimmy was such an amazing guide. Picked up from my hotel with water and lunch. The hike was amazing and he kept a great pace, continuously checking in along the way. He gave great info about Seoul along the way. He made the hike a lot of fun, would highly recommend and would love to do other tours with him.

Mr Kim advised us well as we undertook this hike. The change in elevation was a bit challenging and one must watch one’s step. The beautiful scenery and lovely vistas made it all worthwhile. Mr Kim is an engaging and knowledgeable guide about the culture, Seoul, the food, the history and more. We really enjoyed it!

Our guide Brandon picked us up from the hotel on time and shared helpful and interesting information on the way to the national park. He was always very attentive, guided us safely through challenging terrain with well-planned breaks, and gave us enough time to capture the many impressions. In the end, we even had time to visit the nearby temple complex. Furthermore, he gave us helpful tips for our onward journey within South Korea. The excursion remains an unforgettable highlight of the trip for us; the spectacular views are worth every effort.

We had an incredible hiking tour of Bukhansan with our guide, Kim! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. He set a comfortable pace, made sure we were doing well throughout the hike, and shared interesting information about the mountain and the surrounding area. The views were absolutely worth the climb, and having Kim as our guide made the experience even better. We always felt safe, well taken care of, and never rushed. If you’re thinking about hiking Bukhansan, we highly recommend this tour, and definitely ask for Kim if you can. You won’t be disappointed!

Brandon was knowledgeable, conversational, and incredibly helpful from beginning to end. It was a pleasure learning about Seoul from someone who has lived here his entire life and shared so much local insight along the way.If you’re looking to hike in Seoul without having to worry about the logistics or planning, I highly recommend booking with Brandon. He offers a choice between two routes—one more challenging for those seeking a workout, and another that’s more scenic and relaxed—so you can choose the experience that best fits your interests. His guidance made the entire day enjoyable and stress-free.

Brandon was fabulous! We had the most amazing day! He showed us how to get to the summit and provided food and tea. The climb was so much fun, and we were thrilled to take our picture at the summit!

Fantastic experience with Jimmy!

Brandon was a brilliant tour guide. He dropped us and off and picked us up directly from our central Seoul hotel. He told us lots of information about the peak, and provided a lovely sushi roll and tea lunch. We did the main peak - and it WAS a challenge not for the feint hearted. But it felt a wonderful achievement to reach the top and we have some great photos to prove it.

We had the Best Guide for this tour “Jimmy”. Without stress punctual pickup at the hotel and with a balanced rest he accompanied us to the Bukhansan. Organized water and lunch on the go. It was a great tour - Thanks Jimmy - You are the best guide 👍

Our guide Brandon made things easy for us - pick up at hotel, right on time, great conversation and a solid hiker on the trail. Great english and funny personality. Lots of different trails to choose from and he picked a quiet one for the trip down the mountain, which was nice because it was a busy day. Thanks for a memorable trip!

We had a wonderful spring hike with Chansoo. It was a rainy, misty day, and he recommended an alternative hike rather than going to the peak as the rocks would be very slippery. He brought us on a beautiful route to lookout points over Seoul and nearby peaks, and then on to Seunggasa Temple, which was both stunning and peaceful in the mist. He shared a lot of geology and pointed out various trees and shrubs and wildlife. We very much enjoyed our good conversation and learned a lot about Korea. The hike ended with an indoor lunch of gimbap, ramen, and a tray of Korean favorites like scallion pancakes and meatballs - all of which were so good after the hike in the fresh, chilly mountain air! We would highly recommend this experience. Chansoo is such a knowledgeable and pleasant person. I don’t think we would have attempted Bukhansan on our own on such a wet day and would have missed out on one of our trip highlights.

Breathtaking! Jimmy the guide was awesome - it's a steep, tough hike, so very glad to have him as my wingman.

We had the best day hiking with our guide Jimmy. The day was seamless, Jimmy picked us up on time from our hotel, picked up snacks and lunch for our group, and recommended a trail that was challenging but doable for our family. He was easy to communicate with over text prior to the excursion. He is very knowledgeable about the mountain and patient. We couldn’t have done it without him!

The article says it all! This was an amazing experience! And so well educated tour guide! One of the best guides I’ve met! W
