Our DMZ experience 🇰🇷 was definitely one of the highlights of our Korea trip!A big shoutout to our amazing tour guide, Katie! ❤️ She was so responsive and experienced, and thanks to her, we managed to get an earlier time slot and avoided a long queue, which made such a difference!Katie’s explanations were informative but never boring. She had just the right amount of humour and made the whole experience so much more interesting and enjoyable. 😄 She even helped us with our photos along the way , so we came home with not just memories, but some really great shots too! 📸And the highlight at the Observation Deck? We were actually able to spot North Korean soldiers and farmers across the border! 😮 That made the whole DMZ experience feel so real and unforgettable.You can really tell Katie has years of experience and deep knowledge of the DMZ. We had a fantastic experience with AJ on our DMZ Korea + Gamaksan Suspension Bridge tour! AJ is such a lovely, friendly and open person. She explained Korea’s difficult history in a very easy and engaging way, making it genuinely interesting, and also shared lots of useful tips.She was incredibly helpful and attentive throughout the whole trip — offered to take photos for us, checked that we were comfortable and always made sure our needs were taken care of. You can really tell that AJ loves her job and does it with genuine enthusiasm!Communication via WhatsApp was also super easy and everything was clearly explained. We highly recommend AJ — she made the whole experience really enjoyable and memorable! ❤️

We had a wonderful guide in Felicity. She was fun and informative. The fact it ran so smoothly since it was the first day of a national holiday was a pleasant surprise. The only criticism I have is the ginger part of the tour. Even though it was very informative and obviously a Korean treasure it still felt like a bit of a sales detour. Other than that, worth the money and the time

Jung was such an amazing tour guide! She explained a lot on and off the bus and we got to see a lot of places. We came here on our 1 year wedding anniversary.

Jun was our guide for one introductory day in Seoul! We learned so much as we wanted information on restaurants, street food, markets, museums, and public transit. We love walking and walked almost most 8 miles! Jun took us to his favorite local chicken soup spot and we loved it. He also had the wisdom to get us to the main Palace early to tour before the crowds and see the early changing of the guards. He was informative, personable and fun! Thank you Jun!

Yunee the guide was so polite and nice , she exolain aniut the sites with alot of knowladge , she help us with all of our requstes . I higjly recommand her tour.

We booked this trip for our first night in Seoul when we got in at 10am.I was feeling pretty rough from jet lag and we were a bit late but the night was fantastic and I’m extremely glad we booked.Jeff was friendly and knowledgeable not only about the food but also the culture and history (do you know why the chopsticks are flat? Do the tour and find out!).The kbbq was amazing Korean barbecue and the fried chicken and beer was perfection; we really enjoyed the atmosphere in both places and Jeff’s company, it is a strong recommend to anyone visiting who wants to go to some authentic restaurants and learn more about the cuisine and food/drink culture.Jeff was the perfect host and also an amazing local - we struggled getting our travel cards and he very patiently helped us at the end of the tour getting them which was a bit of a saga and he didn’t need to help, but absolute legend worked it out for us!

We started and ended our South Korea tour in Seoul with Kory, and he was exceptional. Courteous, thoughtful, and genuinely enjoyable to be around, he made an excellent itinerary feel personal. His stories about his family’s experiences in Korea over the past 100 years brought the country’s history to life and became one of the highlights of our entire trip. Worth every penny.

Interesting stories about ghosts and folklore. Fun to walk around at night in different parts of Seoul and hear stories about different ghost sightings and folk beliefs.

Jimmy was such an amazing guide. Picked up from my hotel with water and lunch. The hike was amazing and he kept a great pace, continuously checking in along the way. He gave great info about Seoul along the way. He made the hike a lot of fun, would highly recommend and would love to do other tours with him.

This was a very enjoyable ghost tour. I'm glad to have opted for the extended version. Shawn clearly is deeply immersed in Korean history and culture and has an academic and personal interest in these dark stories. He is an excellent storyteller, and he learns each guest's name and takes an interest in where they are from and any paranormal experiences they may have had. I especially enjoyed that this tour led me off of the big, busy boulevards and down charming residential streets. Shawn set the scene by getting the group grounded in the topography of the city of Seoul, and he transmitted his enthusiasm for the beauty and energy of a very special tree, for example. I loved that this transplant-cum-local shared his special appreciation for and connection to this place and its history, and I felt like I got a privileged insider's view into a city I was visiting for only a few days. No bother that I didn't see a ghost on tour ;) I'm looking forward to reading Shawn's book when I return home!
