Top Sarajevo Ski & Snow

This was quality day out our guides were Olympian and clearly had love for what they were doing And trying to make enough to finance France 2030

This is the best experience we have had our guide who is an Olympian himself and a friend and it was spot on and can’t believe he isn’t inundated with requests to do this as it was absolutely brilliant and will be back as this is an experience you won’t to do anywhere else in the world as there aren’t many unused Olympic bobsleigh tracks in the word

What a fantastic team at Funky tours. From my pre trip emails to Ema who organised our skiing to our WhatsApp messages in country to check if everything was okay and Alem our charming driver/just we were made to fill nothing was too much to ask. We loved Sarajevo and Jahorina and we will return and book some different trips using Funky tours. This might sound like a clique but we were made to fill like friends rather than clients, and I loved that.

I would easily do this again when I come back to Sarajevo. I booked this tour after taking a tour with Adnan and Yasmine a few days prior. This team is well organized and provided excellent customer service from beginning till end. I also hired them for a transport from Sarajevo to Mostar.Communication is easy. Team is professional. Adnan has a great, easy going sense of humor and explained lyrics of Yugoslav/Bosniak musical luminary Dino Merlin. So in addition to a gorgeous ski day, it was also an unconventional language and culture immersion. Tours I took were efficient without feeling rushed.I had only planned to stay in Sarajevo for 3 days but added 2 because of such great guidance.

Beyond the activity that provides a real emotion, without being afraid, you are accompanied by car from the center of Sarajevo on the site by the only Bosnian Olympic luge athlete, very attentive and particularly friendly. The price is more than reasonable, since getting on the site by cable car would already cost money. Finally, the site is very nice, because in the forest with a temperature difference, very appreciable compared to the center of Sarajevo l summer and of which you have a very nice view.I recommend without any hesitation, for adults and children.

Absolute blast!!! New hobby uploading! Seriously bobsledding was awesome plus instruction from an Olympian on a historic track?? What could be better? Honestly top marks in safety, fun and unique experience! I could’ve done this for hours! Book this tour!

This was literally a breathtaking experience for me, mummy, as time and again my breath was taken away as I struggled to move on skis in the snow, even though I barely covered 50cm in distance! Thankfully, Elvira, our charming and expert ski instructor, had a better student in my son, David, who appeared to take to skiing like a duck to water. 'I enjoy the sliding part,' he says. I wish so much that I can say the same, but I was petrified of falling, which i believe, or hope anyway, is common for older learners attempting to ski for the first time! (Speak for yourself, I can hear some comments in readers' heads already!) Nonetheless, I enjoyed the novelty of attempting to ski, and was heartened that David loved it. In my dreams I imagine myself and David curving gracefully down the slope on skis, projecting into my mind the images I saw on the slopes of snowy Mount Bjelasnica, one of the four Olympic Mountains of Sarajevo. If anyone can help us translate this tantalising vision into reality, it has got to be Elvira, our petite and lovely ski instructor, who is all patience as she took us through the basic techniques like stopping properly in a pizza shaped arc, and helped David with some magical sliding in the snow moves. 'Give me one more day, and David will be on the sloptes,' she says, and I totally believe she can work the magic! We would love to be able to learn to ski again under Elvira's expert tutelage, and pray that we can come back again to the Olympic Mountains of Sarajevo to learn with her as our instructor. Many thanks to Edna, Elvira and the Funky Tours Team for helping to create an unforgettable and magical memory yet again for David and me on this Christmas 2021 holiday in BiH!

We spent two hours this morning with Mirza learning to luge and finding out about the 1984 Sarajevo Olympic track. All this from an Olympian - what more could you ask for? From start to finish Mirza was a fantastic instructor and taught us the basics of steering the sled to each of us having a number of goes on a part of the actual track. They only started doing this last year, but it is an absolute gem of an experience and I thoroughly recommend it if you are visiting Sarajevo.

I bought the tour as a birthday present for my friend and we tried luge for the first time in our lives. It was a unique experience: riding down the Olympic track on a luge (a board with wheels). It was much easier than we thought and it was so much fun. We filmed the experience with GoPro

Not sure you can try this sport in many places. Lucky we were among the first to try this activity in Sarajevo. The activity is facilitated by an Olympic sportsman who is a professional. The activity is very fun and not scary at all.
