This is an exceptional tour. Extremely rich and informative. It is about street art, with all its rituals, customs, famous artists, festivals. But not only. It covers architecture, with the highlights of Turkish and Austro-Hungarian buildings around the city. But also Bosnian traditions, the bazar, the Latin Bridge, some beautiful galleries. The guide is well informed on many subjects and his mastery of English is exceptional. Plus he guides you with a great smile. I truly enjoyed this tour. Would recommend it to everybody. If you are not interested in art, do it. You will see what you have missed.

One of the best tours we’ve had in this part of the Europe. Mak is an excellent guide. His passion for Sarajevo’s history and culture really shows. 100% recommendation to everyone. The company name Funky Tours doesn't do them justice – neither the American slang or Anglo definition! I would choose words like authentic, honest, genuine and relevant.I enjoyed three tours with these Funky Folks, each with a different guide. Each guide was local and gave a really genuine insight into Bosnian heritage and contemporary life. I felt that I really got to understand the country from real insiders that took me well beyond the tourist trail.My favourite was the graffiti tour of Sarajevo. To be fair, I had the advantage of a private tour, so we chatted away about Sarajevo's creative scene and emerging street art movement while exploring some of the coolest bits of the city. By the end of my three tours, I felt my initial limited perceptions of Sarajevo has been truly challenged and I left the country as a new, empowered advocate of Bosnia and Sarajevo. Do visit. We as graffiti lovers and part time artists ourselves wanted to learn more about street art industry of Sarajevo and we booked graffiti tour with Sarajevo Funky Tours. What an amazing experience it was.Initially you are covering the remote parts of Sarajevo that are totally of the beaten path, but are located within the city itself and following the story of street art development in Sarajevo since 1990ies. War time ruins and abandoned places where local and foreign graffiti boys and girls are doing their masterpieces are simply worth exploring, and experience like this heavily helps you better understand destination you are travelling through. Murals of David Bowie, Karim Zaimovic and few others are simply true works of art.Last part of the tour was Sarajevo Olympic bobsled which is true graffiti wonderland and place which you could never imagine to exist. It is full of graffiti art of local and world famous artists who have been around Sarajevo and leaving their traces behind. Our guide was able to give us explanation on every single graffiti we asked for, as he himself is one of the most famous local artists.Graffiti workshop was the creme on top of the cake, as that gave us amazing opportunity to paint our own thing and learn more about techniques local artists use. Graffiti painting goes well with hot tea or hot wine Funky Tours team provided us, as it was all snowed out and quite cold during the January.We hope to be back and experience this tour once again.

Really beautiful, interesting and different tour of Sarajevo! You see parts of the town that you won’t come to with other walking tours in the city and I was amazed to realise how close the city is to the mountains and tranquil nature! The guide was very open, answered all our questions and adapted the information to what we were interested in. A must!

You haven’t been to Sarajevo if you didn’t do this tour! One of the best tours of my life! I loved every part of it! The history of different neighbourhoods and the “mahalas”, the constant change of architecture, the scenery, the views. At one point you are in the Austro-Hungarian quarter, passing by the old Jewish quarter, socialist buildings, some mosques, neighbourhoods from the Ottoman time, and illegal settlements, then you are in some kind of village and you end up on a hill in the woods with a breathtaking view! We visited the place where some important battles happened during the recent war. There are still trenches that the soldiers dug 30 years ago. Then the best part was the reward after the hike! Amazing food and drinks and we had such a good time! Seriously, one of the best hikes and foods ever!

The guide, Adnan, was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He shared a lot of information both about the art and the artists and also about the Bosnian history and people. Even though some galleries were closed, we had no problem filling the day with beautiful art and interesting information.

I like the arts trip a lot, you will find many hidden arts places in this city in this tour. Mak is a super nice and knowledgeable guide, he will share not only the history but also his own experiences during the war. He is always helping with any questions. He even gave me a book he writed as a gift! I would highly recommend this tour with him. Thanks again Mak!

Urban hike is perfect for those who want to get out and spend time in nature yet don't feel ready to cover very long distances. At this tour, I was able to see the famous mahalas, the remarkable part of Sarajevo that makes it look so pretty from the valley when looking up at the hills surrounding the city. During the hike I saw different notable buildings (which are often omitted in the tour guide books?!), learned more about the traditional Bosnian architecture and culture, got to be smitten by of the best panoramic views of Sarajevo. Not to mention that it was a great workout after which you are rewarded by a hearty lunch in a beautiful restaurant specialised in Bosnian cuisine.Something else I would like to highlight as I did several tours with .Cheyf. You don't feel like a tourist with them, bit rather like a local who spends time with good friends — that's how extravert and accommodating Kathi and Numa are. Check them out — rest assured you will want to come back over and over again.

This is an excellent tour with a phenomenal guide that includes a striking mix of urban history and beautiful landscapes. Even as someone who has lived in Sarajevo for several years, I learned plenty of new things and saw breathtaking views I had never seen before. The Cheyf team is fun, friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. Sarajevo has so much more to offer than the usual voyeuristic 'war- tourism, ' and this is the perfect way to experience both its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty. An overall great experience.

Enjoyed this Tour thorugh sarajevos Hidden places i would have never know without Alan. He Is A street artist himself and had great knowledge about bosnias time after the war in the late 90's and the role of street art in that time And nowadays. Our last stop was the National Gallery, an interesting Art collection. Definetly recommend It.
