This cooking class was fun, and the food was delicious. Oswaldo was a great chef, teacher, and host. He shared his grandmother's mole recipe, which was my favorite. The other photo shows the chocolate tamales we made. I definitely recommend his cooking class for small groups.

This was an excellent experience. It was a cool cooking class and you go to the local market to get the fresh ingredients. My host was excellent she was very personable and knowledgeable and the food we made came out excellent. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone!!

The vegetarian cooking class was a highlight of my visit to Oaxaca. Victor, the chef/instructor, explained the history of the largely plant-based cuisine of the region, and shared memories of his grandmother’s traditional cooking. Besides helping to prepare (and eat) delicious food with layers of flavors, I received an excellent lesson on Oaxacan culture. Highly recommended!

We had high expectations for this tour and they were absolutely exceeded. The market tour was very informational and we even got to see where maiz is processed. The cooking experience in Minerva Lopez’s home was absolutely incredible since she has so much knowledge to share. Overall a major highlight of our trip and we hope to return soon!

Rare and wonderful! Sandy our guide and Tonya Minerva’s daughter picked us up and took us for a market tour. It was nice to see and have experienced guides for the market. Minerva’s outdoor kitchen was amazing. We love to cook and the food, ingredients and cooking methods were a great opportunity to learn so much more. We learned to make an amazing mole and to cook tortillas on the Comal. She shared with us her 8 year journey from a suggestion that she do a cooking class for a couple interested in learning local cooking methods to now with regular groups traveling through her home. Our experience for so special with Minerva and her team. We are particular about how we spend our time on vacation and prefer this mix of smaller, personal and local experience. We highly recommend!

We reserved a Mezcal Mixology three hours before the class, and IT DID NOT disappoint! Diego is a great and fun teacher that takes you from basics, we did three drinks and the last one you get to create your own using the skills you just learnt. We were mixing dancing and laughing in the classroom, and the drinks were AMAZING 🤩 Highly recommend!

Wendy was excellent! She took amazing care of us. We did not expect to cook and eat as much food as we did. Walking to a local market to get ingredients and meet the vendors was a highlight! We would recommend this to anyone and will plan to take other classes in the future!
