Top Longreach Walking Tours

The guide, Layne, was so authentic, bush bred and raised, with great sense of humour. Loved his commentary. The trip was well worth it seeing it through the eyes of locals who were all part of the discovery of the fossils. Well organised.

This tour provides easy access to a day trip to Winton. The tour guide was excellent, providing great commentary on the trip to Winton. The places of interest we visited provided a good insight into the history of the region. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Longreach.

BEST EXCELLENT MORNING ENTERTAINMENT Jeremy was one of the best tourist Operators his commentary was informative and funny, all the Visitors loved him. He kept the information flowing and Banjoy his trusty companion. Was right along side cheering him on. Marino Sheep are very interesting and the ride on the double decker bus around the station was terrific.

Absolutely fantastic day. I would thoroughly recommend it. The coach picked us up at Saltbush Retreat on time, it was very comfortable. The experience at the station was great, especially the little sheepdog. Saw lots of wild camels etc. If you are in Longreach, please do this.

Such a fantastic morning at the Nogo Station. A wonderful experience to see a working station in operation and made so very interesting and fun with Jeremy, one of the station owners and his dog Banjo. The tour included Banjo rounding up the sheep, Jeremy giving us a overview of the station by means of a drone and then driving us all around the property on a open air double decker bus. The tour ended with lunch and billy tea under the trees and as a coeliac they provided a lovely alternative especially the cornflake cookie. This tour was a highlight of our time in Longreach giving us a true insight into working life in the outback but never overloaded us with information just lots of laughing with Jeremy and his Aussie humour.

We had the best time from start to finish. We decided to start our day bright and early at 6:30am with the Country Buffet Breakfast run by Outback Pioneers, before jumping on board the coach with Brad.Brad was a true delight — so friendly, knowledgeable and full of interesting information. While he picked up the rest of the guests joining us for the day, he gave us a fantastic introduction to Longreach and shared so many interesting facts about the town and its history.Once everyone was on board, we headed out to Nogo Station, where we were warmly greeted by Jeremy, one of the sons of the family. What a character! He was such a breath of fresh air and made the experience even more enjoyable. Jeremy explained everything there is to know about life on the station, how it operates and what is involved in running such a huge property. And we can't forget Banjo, his gorgeous Border Collie, who was an absolute sweetheart! 🐕❤️After learning so much about the day-to-day running of the station, Jeremy got us all aboard the double-decker bus and took us around the property, eventually making our way down to the Coolabah Tree, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. It was such a fantastic experience, filled with interesting stories, beautiful scenery and wonderful people. We would highly recommend Nogo Station to anyone visiting Longreach. It’s definitely an experience you won’t want to miss! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

There is so much to see at Winton – the Australian age of dinosaurs. Museum was absolutely brilliant as was the canyon. So informative. The Waltz in Matilda Centre was really really good. Really enjoyed Gregory North and his Waltzing Matilda poetry recitals (bought his book at an amazing Price) at the North Gregory Hotel. I couldn’t recommend this day highly enough.

Full day of great narrative, awesome guides at the Dinosaur Museum, lunch and entertainment at the North Gregory Hotel in country style. Enjoyable informative day with attentive staff

Fantastic experience, Jeremy was full of knowledge and a real character, an enjoyable lunch was supplied and trip around the property in a double decker bus with commentary, all in all a great day.

Would recommend it was a down to earth station experience with detailed explanation of how sheep are hearded by a border collie and sheared This was followed by station tour in open bus and lunch in a typical drivers camp Very enjoyable

Bus driver (Brad) and station host (Jeremy) were friendly, welcoming and informative. It was great to see a working station and learn about modern methods of farming.

We enjoyed our experience , but would do it different next time to allow more time

Jeremy, one of the owners, was fantastic with all the information he gave on running a station. It brought back wonderful memories of my younger years visiting my aunty and uncle’s farm. I loved the Billy tea lunch and Brad was a wonderful driver. The Kinnon family are just delightful. No visit to Longreach is complete without going to Nogo station.

Great day out. Brad was a very good driver and very knowledgeable about the various locations of the tour and museums that we visited. Enjoyed lunch. The owner of the hotel was highly entertaining in relation to the Waltzing Matilda history. Would recommend.

Wonderful experience. Bought back childhood memories for myself & my sister. Lane, our history, was great. He made us laugh & we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Worth every penny for sure
