A must do. It won't disappoint
Prompt pickup. Well organised. Beautiful, peaceful cruise with licenced bar and also nibblies provided. Sunset did not disappoint. Meal had good food, prompt service and friendly staff. Entertainment was the feather in the cap. Owen Blundell is a very funny, entertaining grass roots entertainer. What a great experience

Locals guiding the visitors
The guide, Layne, was so authentic, bush bred and raised, with great sense of humour. Loved his commentary. The trip was well worth it seeing it through the eyes of locals who were all part of the discovery of the fossils. Well organised.

An Outback experience one remembers for life!
We would recommend any tour with this company as we did most. They are highly organised so much fun and the food was of excellent quality! They should get an award for excellence in tourism. Wonderful people of the Outback! Thank you for the best holiday and one we would recommend to all.

Great Winton Experience
This tour provides easy access to a day trip to Winton. The tour guide was excellent, providing great commentary on the trip to Winton. The places of interest we visited provided a good insight into the history of the region. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Longreach.

Not a bad way to spend a day!

Half-Day Historic Rail Excursion to Ilfracombe from Longreach

Not a bad way to spend a day!
A very enjoyable day with informative and entertaining commentary from Joe and Mick. Opportunity to sit in the "drivers" seat and have a yarn. Leisurely stroll around historical Ilfracombe and then a fabulous burger, a drink and a game to raise $ for the RFDS at the Welshot Pub. Yes, you could drive it and do it cheaper, but youd miss out on the clickety clack of the rail and the natural air con! Do it!

NO GO Jeremy and Banjo
BEST EXCELLENT MORNING ENTERTAINMENT Jeremy was one of the best tourist Operators his commentary was informative and funny, all the Visitors loved him. He kept the information flowing and Banjoy his trusty companion. Was right along side cheering him on. Marino Sheep are very interesting and the ride on the double decker bus around the station was terrific.

Fantastic
Absolutely fantastic day. I would thoroughly recommend it. The coach picked us up at Saltbush Retreat on time, it was very comfortable. The experience at the station was great, especially the little sheepdog. Saw lots of wild camels etc. If you are in Longreach, please do this.

Fantastic morning on the train

Great Darr River Rail Run in Longreach

Fantastic morning on the train
We had a fantastic trip up to the Darr River by train. Joe and David were both so friendly, pleasant and informative, making the day even more enjoyable.Halfway through the journey, David stopped the train and we all got out for a talk in the bush. Joe explained all about the different trees, sharing his knowledge of what they could be used for and teaching us so much about the local area. After our talk in the bush, we all got back on the train and continued the rest of the journey up to the Darr River, where we were met by a lovely lady who had prepared a beautiful morning tea of homemade jam drops, damper and hot billy tea. It was such a lovely treat!Joe then showed us how to crack a whip, which was great fun, and David finished the day by singing a lovely tune under the coolabah tree.It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end, with great company, fascinating stories, delicious food and lots of memorable moments. A truly fantastic day that we won’t forget! 🌿🚂☕️❤️

Train and vintage machinery lovers dream experience.
Had a great train ride out to the Wellshot hotel for a look at the mile of machinery, lunch at the hotel and watched people trying to pin money on the ceiling for the flying doctors charity. Such a cool fun place to go. People had turns at sitting with the driver and learning about train driving. A great experience for train lovers.

Another excellent river sunset experience. I’m a local and never tire of the tourist experience. I have been on the train a couple of times and the river cruise several times. Well done Sue Allan and the team. Great value for money too.

Amazing sunset tour
From booking our tour to completion was an excellent experience. The receptionist was extremely knowledgeable Cassie made sure we would be able to join in all parts of the tour (I have some health and dietary issues.) the operators made sure I didn’t miss out. The boat cruise was very informative and the first mate did an outstanding job with questions being answered and changed hats to be an excellent steward. The campfire meal and entertainment was first class can see why the tea towel stew recipe sells out have ordered mine in line. Would encourage anyone stopping in Longreach to book this tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
