A good day in Transylvania
It was a terrific day. Traffic was intense getting out of Bucharest in the morning but Lucian, our driver and guide, made the time fly by with his stories. Peles Castle was well worth a visit. We only saw the outside because it is closed on Monday and Tuesday but still very impressive. Brasov is a lovely town where we enjoyed a traditional Hungarian lunch seated outside in the square. Then on to Bran’s castle. Lots of steps to get up the hill but the castle was lots of fun to visit. There are some outside displays of craftsmen and a good selection of souvenirs to buy if that is your thing. It was a long day but the scenery was interesting and our guide did everything in his power to make sure we were well looked after.

Romania is truly an underrated gem in Europe
We were looking for a short guided tour in Europe and came across the 4 days Transylvania Castles Tour for small groups by Rolandia Travels. Since we had never been to Romania before, we decided to explore the country during our short vacation — and it turned out to be a wonderful choice. Romania is truly an underrated gem in Europe. To our surprise, we were the only couple on the tour, so our guide, Danny, essentially gave us a private experience. His knowledge of Romanian history, culture, and daily life made every stop more meaningful. We explored medieval castles, learned about the region’s past, tried traditional Romanian food, and enjoyed great conversations with Danny about modern life in Romania. The tour was well organized from start to finish, and we felt taken care of throughout the trip. We would happily recommend Rolandia Travels to anyone looking to discover Romania in an engaging and comfortable way.

A Perfect Day in Transylvania with Alex
We had a wonderful day touring Bran Castle, Brașov, and the Liberty Bear Refuge. Our guide, Alex, was excellent—knowledgeable, friendly, and very attentive throughout the day. We had plenty of time at each location and never felt rushed, which made the experience very enjoyable. A special thank-you to Alex for going the extra mile and taking us to Peleș Castle as well, even though it wasn’t included in the tour. That was a fantastic unexpected addition and really made the day even more memorable. Highly recommend this tour, especially with Alex as your guide!

I booked the Transylvania Castles 4-day tour and had the most wonderful experience. The entire experience ran smoothly from being contacted prior to departure until the very end. Ioana was my travel guide, and as I was the only person on the tour, she really gave me a personalized experience, and she was so informative about the history and architecture of every place. Overall, this was the best tour I have ever done and would recommend it to anyone who is interested in visiting Transylvania.

We truly enjoyed this private tour. We were a group of 4 adults and our guide Catalin picked us up promptly at JQ Marriott. The drive (about 40 mins) to Snagov Monastery was informative as our guide, Catalin detailed some history og Bucharest and shared a little about himself. On the drive he pointed some historical sites. The Snagov Monastery is worth the visit and having a guide is valuable to learn the history and myths. Next, we drove back towards to visit Mogosoaia Palace. Another site worthe seeing, especially views of the Lake. The price to visit was nominal at 15 Lei.

Had a great time visiting Peleş castle, Braşov and Bran castle, it was a very long day at over 13 hrs but our guide Danny was great and kept us informed and entertained, our driver was amazing too driving us back through thunder and lightning storms back to Bucharest. Would recommend this trip.

Bogdan was a very knowledgeable guide who drove a really nice Mercedes van. He was able to share many interesting details on Romania including political, economic and social information. We learned much and had a great day sightseeing with him. We highly recommend him.

Excellent Tour
Andrei was our guide for the day and did a great job of explaining what we were seeing and the history behind it. The salt mine was very interesting and the winery where we had lunch was exceptional. We also really enjoyed the monastery where allegedly Dracula is buried. Highly recommend this tour.
