Alin was an amazing guide!We were picked up from our hotel which made it nice and easy & were then taken to the hide.On our journey we were given lots of interesting facts about bears and Romanias relationship with bears. We got very lucky when we went and saw over 10 bears. Would 100% recommend Alin - my boyfriend is very pleased with his pictures which he got below :)

Wonderful to see bears in the forest. Although they are tempted to the hide by food this is the only way you are sure to see them, and learn more about them. Vlad is an excellent knowledgeable guide which enhanced the experience greatly. Recommend this tour highly

Excellent bear watching from hide
This was an excellent experience watching wild bears from a hide. We saw lots of bears, including young cubs, and took lots of picture. The minibus driver was knowledgeable, during the journey. No commentary in the hide as needed to be silent, which worked well. Minor disappointment is had to pay extra 10 Euro for hotel pick-up, even though our hotel was nearer the destination.

Honestly such an amazing experience! 🐻❤️ I had the best time at the bear hide. I got to see several bears really close up, including some adorable cubs, which was definitely the highlight! I also got to see foxes coming around, which was such a cool surprise.The whole experience was really peaceful and felt like I was just quietly watching the animals do their thing. Our guide was lovely and really knowledgeable, and you could tell how much he cares about the animals.Seeing the bears, especially the little cubs, was something I’ll never forget. Such a special experience and 100% recommend if you’re in the area!

Great day in the Carpathian mountain villages
I was booked to join a group cultural tour of Romania from Bucharest but since I love the outdoors and walking I tried to find a day tour I could join as a solo traveller in the Carpathian mountains from Brasov first. This day suited my requirements perfectly. The day started in mist and light rain but within thirty minutes it had cleared up to give beautiful sightings of the many smallholdings and houses set in the surrounding countryside, As we walked Marian explained much of the traditional way of life, and the many invading groups which over the centuries had influenced this. The 12km walk included a visit to the bat cave, in itself interesting, and finished with a superb locally sourced lunch in a local guesthouse. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable day. Alin was an excellent driver, and gave us lots of extra information about the Bear Sanctuary and Bran Castle. We really enjoyed both activities and highly recommend booking through Alin. Be aware that the terrain at the Bear Sanctuary has some loose gravel (older guests might find a walking stick and grippy shoes helpful).

Uplifting visit to a real bear sanctuary. No.punches pulled background into the cruel and inhuman treatment of bears in Romania. However it was amazing to see the rescued bears mow living a good life. Highly recommended but can be a little emotional if you love bears.

We booked a wildlife experience in hope of seeing a beer in its natural environment. Despite being informed there would be be a 70% chance of seeing beers, we were lucky enough to see a fully grown adult male in the first few minutes after arriving. It was magical.We only had this one encounter which lasted around 25 minutes but the guide was very knowledgable and kept us entertained for the whole Time we were in the hide 😊

Lucian was an amazing...
Lucian was an amazing guide. As I had requested, we did the Bucegi hike, which was a trail up to a beautiful viewpoint and back. Although Lucian, a legitimate mountain rescue guide, could have no doubt easily run up and down the trail backwards, he never made me feel slow and awkward (which I was), and graciously lent me his poles on the way down. He was extremely professional, respectful, knowledgeable, and generous -- he also took fantastic pictures which he then promptly shared.

Bogdan is a super guide! He has a lot of interests and does plenty of activities, so everything is explained from the point of view of someone that knows and lives the places where you're taken! A long walk in the mountains, through the villages, with beautiful views, to finish with a really tasty and large lunch! Super recommended!
