Top Bar Harbor Shore Excursions

Katherine was extremely knowledgeable as well as personable. Even though it was a rainy, foggy day she shared lots of history and showed us pictures of what wasn’t visible that day. Acadia is beautiful even in the rain!

We had a wonderful private tour of Acadia National Park with Pete as our guide. Traveling in a private van with our group of five made the experience comfortable, relaxing, and personalized.Pete was knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. He took us to all the must-see spots, including Cadillac Mountain, Thunder Hole, and other beautiful scenic locations throughout the park. He shared interesting information along the way and made sure we had plenty of opportunities to enjoy the breathtaking views and take photos. His flexibility, local knowledge, and genuine hospitality made the entire experience special. We were able to see so much of Acadia without the stress of navigating or planning everything ourselves. We highly recommend Pete and this private tour to anyone visiting Acadia National Park. It was definitely a highlight of our trip!

At Your Service Tours provided exceptional service. Jeff answered all my questions and our tour guide, Sharon, was full of Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park historical information.

Joe was very knowledgeable of the park and had patience with all the traffic.

I found At Your Service on Cool Destinations and read the reviews. The reviews were spot on. Our guide, Bill, is local and grew up in the area and had a wealth of local knowledge, stories, as well as a good sense of humor. We spent 6 hours of a sun soaked perfect September Saturday afternoon touring Acadia National Park, ending with a grilled cheese and lobster at Beals lobster shack on the water. Exceptional. The weather was great, the tour exceeded expectations and the grilled cheese and lobster put the final touches on a perfect day. Don’t wait, book it! Rick G

Joe was an excellent guide and a friendly companion. This is the perfect way to see the park if you have some mobility issues and need to go at your own pace. It is probably also the perfect way to see the park if you don't have mobility issues.

Joe was amazing and with all the crowds he got us in and out of every place with ease.

Tim was a wonderful guide! Went down 10 minutes early and he was already waiting for us. He was very knowledgeable about the area and provided lots of information. The provided chairs and blankets alone were worth the price on a cold windy morning! They give options of hot cocoa, coffee, or tea, and put them in insulated mugs that stayed warm all morning! After the sun rose he gave us time to explore the top of the mountain and go to the gift shop. I would recommend this experience!!

Great way to get an overview of Acadia Park and not have to deal with the driving logistics. Our group was picked up at our VRBO. Nice not having to get everyone to a pick up point. Tour was informative. Driver answered our many questions. Definitely recommend.

We used the private car service for our tour of Acadia National Park, and Pete was wonderful! We were visiting on a cruise and had plenty of time to see so much of what Acadia had to offer.Pete made several stops along the way and explained the scenic views, trails, history of the park, and even how lobster pots work. His knowledge was incredibly interesting and added so much to the experience. We had plenty of opportunities to get out, walk around, explore, and take photos. Acadia National Park was absolutely beautiful, and this ended up being our favorite tour of the entire cruise. We also loved Bar Harbor and everything it had to offer. If you’re visiting by cruise ship and want a relaxing, informative, and personal way to experience Acadia, I highly recommend booking with Pete!

This was the best thing! We were picked up at our hotel promptly by Tim. Got right into the park no problems. Tim took us to the best viewing spot for sunrise. Helped to take pictures of us at sunrise. We enjoyed hot chocolate and blueberry muffins. Tim shared a history of the park, provided recommendations on places to eat in town and just ensured a great time. 100% worth the investment not to fight the crowds!

WOW! I booked the Acadia National Park Full Circle Private Tour with Joe--Island Wonders and would give him way above 5 stars if there was such a thing! My 2 sisters and I (we live in 3 different southern states) paid for this tour because we wanted to see as much as we could of this beautiful area and only had a couple of days in Bar Harbor. Joe's expertise, hospitality, and willingness to go beyond what we hoped or expected blew us away! Definitely the highlight day of our trip to Maine! If anyway possible for you to enjoy this wonderful itinerary with Joe as your guide, I promise you won't be sorry--in fact, it's a MUST DO! Worth every cent!

We came in on a cruise ship for the day and had never visited Bar Harbor before. We were a group of 6, ranging in age from 7-79. Carli was very clear and timely with her communications and picked us up very close to where we got off the boat. She did a great job of navigating the area - telling us a lot about the history, the community and the nature. We visited a mix of popular tourist stops on Acadia (based on my research before the trip) and added in a few “hidden gems” on the island as well. Carli had waters for everyone and snack bars that we enjoyed about halfway through the tour. Carli was very pleasant and kind. The area is just beautiful and we definitely have plans to return to the area for a longer visit. Carli made our short visit great!

Fantastic—-informative !!!Easy to navigate, very affordable Would definitely recommend !!!!!Hope to participate in other tours

We had a wonderful experience with Ralph as our private tour guide in Acadia. From the very beginning, he was personable, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know us and what we wanted from our day. One of the things that made the tour especially memorable was how Ralph connected different parts of his own life and experiences in Maine to the places we visited. Those personal stories added so much depth and made the tour feel like we were experiencing Acadia with someone who truly loves and knows the area.Ralph never made us feel like we were simply following a set itinerary. He gave us options, asked questions, listened to our interests, and adjusted the day accordingly. It felt truly personalized to our family rather than like a standard tour. Most importantly, Ralph was incredibly considerate of my dad’s mobility issues. We never felt rushed or pressured to keep up. He was patient, accommodating, and made sure everyone could enjoy the experience comfortably. We would highly recommend Ralph to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, personable, and genuinely thoughtful guide. He helped make our time in Acadia special and gave us an experience we’ll remember for a long time.

Joe was our guide. Me and my wife live in NC and I decided I wanted to visit a cold northern area with some snow for Christmas. I had heard and seen some great things about Maine as my wife had visited before in the spring years prior.I ran across this winter tour from a Google search and it was 100% worth it! I could not have been happier. Joe was an outstanding guide. He was on time for pick up, communicated efficiently and clearly. He knew all the roads and even when the gates were shut to Acadia he was able to speak to the Rangers to let us in (Due to snow).Joe was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Acadia and Maine in general. His dialog thru the tour was subtle but kept u engaged the entire time and opened up for questions and conversations. This tour was ranked up there with one of the best as I have been on many guided tours in Europe and the US.He also drove safely during our Christmas trip with some areas covered in light snow/ice. I never felt uncomfortable or as though the vehicle was unable to handle the conditions.Acadia is a National Park and rather large, during the winter time there are less tourist, I was not anticipating this but there are not many tourist during the winter months at Acadia...however with that said we were basically the only people at the park. I cannot describe to you the peaceful feeling of being at a park like that with just you and a handful of people or in our case, my wife and Joe. Its almost like you were totally connected to the outdoors, the way it was meant to be. You didnt have the line of cars...people taking selfies, listening to music or whatever else there is when parks are cramped with visitors.I cant remember exactly what the trip package covered but I felt like we had some extra time and Joe stopped by some other really cool places! I kept thinking to myself "I dont remember this being on the literary but this is reall COOL"!I cannot stress enough how highly ai recommend this trip!!!
