I was the sole participant in the van tour to the top of Mt Lemmon Did not bother to listen to the audio guide as my personal guide, Mel, was so entertaining and informative. His knowledge of local history and Tucson “insider” information was the best introduction I could have had to a city that was new to me.I would do it all again if I could be assured that Mel would be my driver/guide.

What a fantastic, one of a kind, immersive, educational experience! There were so many layers of “amazing” on this trip.Having collected the pottery for over ten years, I had been watching this trip for a long time. Finally I went. Why did I wait so long??Pablo provided such an in depth exposure to this region of Mexico and the people.The pottery and makers: true artisans with a skill that can only be appreciated once you see them.The towns: the history and multicultural influences and involvement are fascinating. We should appreciate all that we have.The accommodations: one of a kind (Casas Del nopal…see my review on this…amazing in itself).The food: varied, authentic, outstanding!Everything else…much more than expected. The ruins and guide were top notch. The bottle house was fun, colorful and with a wonderful creator who was so happy to speak with us. The town of Casas Grandes is truly a Pueblo Magico.And best of all Pablo Carillo. We never would have been able to experience all of this without him. It is because of his knowledge, his experience, his ingenuity and flexibility, his patience, and his generosity that we were able to do all of this and more.There is truly no way to put into words this adventure. I really have not done it justice. Don’t spend time thinking about doing this; hurry up and do it. Find out how spectacular this is for yourself and then try to put it into words. I dare you to try!

Reliable Shuttle Transfer from Airport 10/10 for being punctual and reliable. Kind and professional. We used the shuttle to take us and our bikes in boxes from airport to our hotel in Sabino Canyon. This saved us booking a car rental…I highly recommend this shuttle owned by Timothy :) Thank you Timothy for your quick communication and conversation during the ride.

Pablo took us on a magical four day journey through a region of Chihuahua which is rich is TALENT (Mata Ortiz with amazing master potters/artists), BEAUTY (Casas Grandes where we stayed at the historic and lovely Casa del Nopal), CULTURE (the Paquime Cultural Center and site), ARCHEOLOGY ( petroglyphs and gems in Galeana), WINE (the couple who founded Turbina winery are extraordinary people making extraordinary wine) and CUISINE (every single dish was delicious!) We were struck by all of the above - plus the kindness, humor, dedication to their arts, and friendliness of the people we had the good fortune to meet. Pablo is a skilled (and very fun) tour-guide and host. Plus, he knows everyone in the state of Chihuahua! We purchased many treasures from the artists in Mata Ortiz due to Pablo’s insights and knowledge of each artist and their work. Would we travel with Pablo again? Absolutely!!!

Timothy is absolutely wonderful!Our flight was delayed and I had no cell service (while out of Canada) He waited a very long time for us (as we had a 2 hour flight delay)When I was finally able to connect with him he came immediately back to the airportI was very worried we would be stranded in the desert as we had a very early return flight and booking the return through Cool Destinations was not an optionTimothy was beyond reassuring and so helpful, friendly and professionalMy expectations were surpassed

We had a group of four and had a great experience with our driver/guide, Larry. He gave us a lot of great information about the area and the ride up the mountain. Larry was very accommodating, we were able to stop when we wanted and he gave us suggestions of places that we might want to see. Overall a very enjoyable tour.

Mel , our guide and driver, picked us up on time in an immaculate minibus. He was a very good driver, very knowledgeable guide and a very friendly character l nothing was too much trouble for him. Mount Lemmon was stunning and I highly recommend this tour.

Having a driver for this trip up Mt. Lemmon allowed us to truly enjoy the views along the way and was worth the expense. Mark played an audio description along the route but also added additional information.

This tour was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Tim was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared fun insights that brought each location to life. I loved his creative rock formation names! He went out of his way to make the day memorable! The itinerary was well paced, allowing plenty of time to explore without feeling rushed. Transportation was comfortable and well organized, making the day stress free.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience on the Oasis Tour of Tucson, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. From start to finish, this tour delivered on views, service, and memories.First off, the scenery was breathtaking. Driving up Mount Lemmon felt like a journey through multiple climates — the desert gave way to pine forest, and every turn offered another stunning vista. I was able to capture some truly amazing photos, and the views from the higher elevation were nothing short of spectacular. The air in Arizona is fresh I almost forgot about all the car pollution.But what really made the day special was the guide, Timothy. He is the consummate professional — friendly, punctual, and deeply knowledgeable about the region. You can tell he loves what he does. Because I was traveling solo, he graciously made schedule accommodations just for me and even provided transportation to make things easier. He went above and beyond to ensure the day flowed smoothly and all my questions were answered.If you’re thinking of booking, don’t hesitate — just reach out to Timothy ahead of time to set up any special arrangements (pickup, timing, etc.). Whether you’re a solo traveler or part of a group, this tour is well worth it. Five stars all around!

This is not just a convenient way to get up the mountain. Timothy as driver and guide loves the mountain and is eager to share that love with travelers. He knows a lot and is able to sharpen the eyes of others to truly see the mysterious beauty of this “oasis.”
