I was so impressed with this experience! The owner matched me with the right guide and hike (I’m an avid hiker so I wanted something a bit more strenuous. My guide Dylan was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun!

Excellent experience! Good communication. Family of 4 did the repelling and hike. Daly was a great guide making us feel welcome, comfortable, explained the process and safety equipment, answered all of our questions. We really enjoyed our time in the canyon!

NOT for beginners!!! my husband and I have rock climb climbed, repelled and hiked canyons many times and it was very challenging for us in spots. Do not go on this trip if you have a fear of slippery rocks or a fear of heights. Daly was our guide and she was truly phenomenal. If I felt uncomfortable with the direction that she was giving, she was very accommodating defined an easier way for me to navigate the toughest areas. She was super knowledgeable, patient and friendly. She had so much information that was really interesting to us. She was one of the best outdoor adventure guides we've ever had highly recommend her if you are in good shape and have prior extreme outdoor repelling, rock climbing and scrambling experience. We were completely wiped out by the end of the 4 hours but we had a blast! Make sure to wear hiking shoes that grip rock.

Our experience with Arizona Climbing Guides was amazing. Our guide, Nate, was perfect. He was easy to talk to, friendly, and experienced. He picked routes that were challenging enough for my son and me, but not so difficult that we could not finish the routes. It was the perfect balance of challenge and fun. Throughout the day, he made sure we felt completely safe and confident on the rock. It was such a rewarding experience from start to finish.We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day. We’ll definitely be climbing with Nate and Arizona Climbing guides next time we’re in Arizona!

Did 1/2 day of climbing in Prescott with Jayci. He is one of the best guides I have used since I started actively climbing 3 years ago. Friendly, competent and helpful. , and Would definitely use them again if in the area. Highly recommended!

Our family group of 12 people did a half day canyoneering and hike in Tanque Verde canyon and creek. We had so much respect for the competence and expertise of our guides. On our first try, we hiked down to the creek, paused for weather updates about possible rain, and played goofy games. News came back that as a storm was imminent so out we hiked to avoid the flash flooding. We were able to do the trip the next morning and see some of the changes the storm water had brought about. The guides had to pick some new rappel lines, because the normal ones were in waterfalls, or landed in water instead of dry ground. They were calm, focused and professional. Even on our hike out over the bouldery terrain, they had to scout different routes for use to descend due to the higher water levels. We were a big group, but they managed us and the dynamic trip with humor, grace and expertise. Thanks Arizona climbing guide for an awesome adventure!!

My family and I went canyoneering down Seven Cataracts one day and the kids went on a half-day climb the next day near Mount Lemmon. We had the same guide both days and he was awesome! He let everyone travel at our own pace and conducted a nature tour while guiding us down numerous rappels in the canyon. He taught the kids a lot during their climb and let them climb at their level. I would recommend Arizona Climbing Guides to anyone in search of adventure!

Great time on the mountain. Our guide Ben was friendly, informative, and helpful. Nice giving we were novices! He tailored the trip to our climbing level and kept us safe!

Our family of four (two teenagers) was in the Tucson area over spring break and we did both a half-day canyoneering and a half-day rock climbing with Altitude Mountain Guides. Ben and Daily were fabulous guides and excellent instructors. They have all of the best equipment, and we felt very safe the whole time. Both days were a lot of fun and we would absolutely recommend these experiences.

This is a short hike followed by some scrambling and at least 4 nice rappels down a beautiful gorge with pristine waterfalls. The guides are excellent. Highly recommend!

I have some experience canyoneering, ranging from long technical tours (in my younger years) to easy tours for just a few hours. This time, I took my 11-year old son for his first experience. I was looking for something interesting and adventurous, but not overwhelming. This was a perfect balance - a bit of a challenge, an incredibly patient and skilled guide, and gorgeous views. The rappels were structured well to get us used to (or re-used to) the gear with the last rappel being really stunning next to an impressive waterfall. The water was higher than usual, and so the guide adapted to ensure we got across a couple of spots safely. It ended with a lovely rockhopping hike through some of the canyon and then back up to the road. I have a million pictures, and felt mildly sore and totally satisfied at the end of the day. It was really cool to do it as a private tour rather than with a larger group. Aaron, the guide was patient as previously stated, and also easy going, pleasant, and knowledgeable. If you are in Tucson, don't miss this!

My husband and I had a great time rappelling in Tanque Verde canyon with Dylan! It was our first time canyoneering and we loved it. Dylan was such a fun guide and made us feel very safe while dangling from the edge of the canyon. Plus a beautiful hike through the canyon with waterfalls and beautiful rocks. Definitely recommend this for a fun adventure day in Tucson!

Had a fabulous day out climbing with Ben! Drove up Mt Lemmon to the pine trees and walked a short distance to a nice climbing wall with a number of routes. On a particularly warm day in Februrary, the temperatures were fabulous at 7000 ft. Ben is extremely safe and sets up an easy first climb to get an idea what the guest(s) are comfortable with. Ben has an easy-going, encouraging style. My friend and I actually booked a full day with Ben and climbed a number of different routes. I highly recommend this as an exciting day in Tucson with amazing views!

This was the highlight of our trip to Tucson. My buddies and I came down here on vacation not realizing how hot it was going to be in September (oops). Trying to get out of the heat we were looking for things to do up in the mountains and found this company randomly.Beautiful up there and our guide knew all the best spots, taught us the ropes (no pun intended), and facilitated an amazing day for us. Don't be scared if you're not the most athletic, lord knows I'm not! But I had a great time and got up about 5 or 6 different beginner routes our guide choose. Came away with a bunch of cool photos too, definitely recommend it!

We loved the experience! Our tour guide was Aaron and he is the very best.The canyon is gorgeous, the falls are beautiful and the rappels are very exciting. Aaron is fun and he explained everything to make us (me) feel secure.The weather was perfect. We bumped into a couple of people at the beginning and the end of the hike, but between rappels we got the canyon to ourselves.We love the hiking. There are some slippery rocks but nothing to worry about.We'll definitely come back!
