Solstice for the win.
My family’s fishing trip in Alaska was better than we expected. There was even a heater on the boat for southerners!!! Catching Artic Grayling was such a treat. The wildlife was an extra bonus on the trip up river. We could not have had a better experience. The memories will last forever with our son.

Fantastic Guided Fishing – Highly Recommend!
Had an amazing trip with Ben in Lower Chatanika yesterday, caught all limits in 2 hours. Ben is fun, accommodating, helpful and very knowledgeable. We will be coming back to go out with him over the summer with a bigger group, probably organize a custom trip.

Great time on the river with Ash!
We loved our half day fishing trip with Ash! My wife and I were the only two who had a booking on the day of our adventure and it was absolutely perfect. Our guide Ash was very insightful and experienced. He made us feel very comfortable and it absolutely made the day easy going. We would definitely book again and would highly recommend booking this trip or any of their other activities!

Great time had by all!

Great time had by all!
I am not a fisherman. My father was, and my father-in-law. My 14 year old son is and my 11 year old daughter is happy to take fish off hooks and tear worms apart with her bare hands. They had an absolute blast ice fishing for 5 hours, inside and outside of the nice cozy cabin right out on the frozen lake. My daughter caught the most (35+), and my son caught the two biggest fish of the day. There were plenty for the two other families that booked the same slot. The guide cooked delicious reindeer sausages, and then fried up the fish we caught (king salmon, silver salmon, and rainbow trout) which was incredible. The guide (Noah) was on top of it the whole time, taking care of the kids ( and adults) who didn't know how to fish and making sure everyone was having a good time. We'll definitely be doing it again next time we come to Alaska!

Ash was great! We didn’t have any luck with the fish even though there were plenty in the camera, but it was still a good experience. The northern lights made a small appearance too.

Ice fishing IS FUN!
What fun! Josh and Ash set us up in a sturdy ice cabin with six hole ready for action. Plenty of heat, hot drinks and refreshments to enjoy while we fished. And then, Ash cooked the fish we caught to perfection. We were catching fish within five minutes. The fish finder camera was fun visual confirmation of how well the lake was stocked. Holes were drilled outside the cabin too. Ash was sure to announce any wildlife he noticed so we could see

Highly recommended trip to ice fish and see the lights!
We loved this tour! Tyson was a great guide. He let my son drill a hole, and we all caught fish which Tyson then cooked for a great dinner. He also kept us updated on the lights so we could go out and see them, and he took photos of us. Great guide, great time!

Fun ice fishing tour
I had such a fun time going ice fishing with this tour. The tour guides were extremely friendly, and they took care of setting up the fishing poles and removing caught fish. The ice fishing tents were also easy to find on the lake. I also loved the fish they cooked and served us at the end of tour. 10/10 would recommend! I also appreciated how close the tour’s location was to the Fairbanks. Make sure you buy your daily AK fishing license online before the tour.

Phenomenal tour guide and company
My trip planner Lindsay was phenomenal! She arranged a magical sunset ride with Alaskan huskies, ice fishing, and a memorable night where I was able to take beautiful photos of the auroras. As a solo traveler, sometimes you don't know if travel companies will be as accommodating for one person, but Lindsay made my trip personable. She was attentive, kind, and so knowledgeable about Alaska. I highly recommend Wandering Alaska!!!
