David was punctual, very friendly, helpful, instructive and informative. He brought tripods for us and help us set up shots and settings. We had a wonderful time exploring the various night spots and ended more than ½ hr later than usual. We chatted all the time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! You’ll not regret taking this night tour! He caters to all levels of photographers.

Highly recommend!!! David is a fantastic photographer and an excellent and enthusiastic teacher. He was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, providing helpful pointers and photography tips - his background in education and passion for photography is clear. David was kind enough to bring us two tripods for us to use during the evening. We had some camera equipment which was a little more difficult for night photography but he was accommodating and instructive. It was very easy to meet up, lovely little walking tour and found great spots. He is full of interesting stories and was genuinely friendly and charming. Cool Destinations never disappoints! My wife and I booked this shoe-making workshop, and it was a blast! Jimmy guided us through the process of making traditional wooden shoes by hand, which is no easy task. While we didn't finish ours entirely by hand, Jimmy used a machine for the final steps. Though we didn't complete every part ourselves, the experience of making them was incredibly fun. In addition, we painted small wooden shoe bottle openers and enjoyed several cheese tastings. Speaking of cheese, they also walked us through the cheesemaking process, explaining how it's made from start to finish. It was a fantastic experience that we would highly recommend!

Super nice educational workshop together with my mother, we made our own perfume and it was allowed to take home and it is also possible to do a reorder. I recommend it to everyone.

We had an excellent time with Eric! He was superb in his expertise, patient, and a great guide. Especially for me and my friend, as we have pretty much no experience painting! We learned a lot about Dutch history, as well as Rembrandt. He is super friendly and quite knowledgeable about current Rembrandt related happenings, such as the Night Watch conservation and the Rembrandt house museum, as well.

Last Thursday, we had our team outing. It was a wonderful experience. After a warm welcome from our host Arielle and an introduction round, we got to work. Arielle told us everything about scent, proportions, and the composition of perfume. We smelled 10 different fragrances and then chose our favorite scents to create our own perfume. Besides being very interesting, it was also great fun to get to know our team better. Because we had already booked dinner, we opted for a 2-hour workshop, but we could easily have filled 3 hours; then we would have had a choice of 25 scents to create our perfume. Superb! Fabulous location in a very fancy hotel (but in a quiet, beatifically decorated room) which was easy to find - just tell the doorman you are there for the painting experience and he will direct you as reception can get busy. My husband came under duress but even he enjoyed the mix of practical art (mixing our own oil paints and painting a small canvas) and history talk (on Amsterdam, Rembrandt, painting, pigments, etc.). Eric was genuinely interested in what we knew as well as sharing loads of information. No artistic skill required, attend and enjoy it at whatever level you are.

The Kintsugi workshop was a great experience. Puzzling and slowly creating something beautiful and unique. The location is very interesting and Annelies is very helpful and knowledgeable.

Annelies was very nice and welcoming. We had a fun time learning about kintsugi and will definitely be applying it to something at home. She had items that we broke for the activity and it proabablyneoukdve been fun to bring one of our own to fix. Definitely would recommend!

This was a lovely class. There were 5 in attendance, the artist was delightful. None of the group considered themselves artistic but we all produced fantastic pieces.

We had a very nice experience at Liesje. She immediately put us at ease, the atmosphere was very friendly, she gave us professional, good tips and we went home with a nice result. Very much enjoyed, highly recommended!

Lovely experience - everyone was so kind! Loved the painting class and would recommend doing the tour prior before the buses of visitors arrive.

I thought finding a professional photographer, in a country that I am not native to, to capture our engagement would be difficult. However, by chance, I found David. After booking with David, he promptly messaged me through Cool Destinations before we moved our discussion to WhatsApp for more seamless communication.He quickly calmed my nerves with his clear communication, coordination, and by providing suggestions on different locations and ideas to make the proposal more special. This was a big moment for me as I was proposing to my girlfriend of 7 years, and I was more nervous about the execution of the proposal than the proposal itself. David understood this, and helped to thoroughly plan every detail to ensure it went smoothly. When I was looking for professionals to capture our engagement, I was very nervous about who to hire. This was a special moment, and I wanted to make sure it was captured in a way that would be true to the moment and the personalities of both my fiancé and myself.I was very fortunate to have chosen David, and Romantic Tour Amsterdam for our special moment. David was an absolute professional. He was very responsive in coordinating the event with me prior to the shoot, and he made me feel comfortable that the moment would be shot in a way that would produce gorgeous photos. We texted back and forth the week prior to the date, and he meticulously covered every detail of the day. In retrospect, this was key. I was terribly nervous to propose, and having one less thing to worry about made the moment special.Apart from being a fantastic photographer, David was compassionate, funny, and generally brought a great atmosphere to the shoot. Both my fiancé and I felt totally comfortable in front of the camera while David was shooting, something which is pretty atypical for both of us since we are actually pretty shy people. After the shoot, David offered us several photos of his choosing that he edited. They turned out amazingly. He then offered 20 additional photos to be edited. He edited them expeditiously and they turned out to be absolutely gorgeous. We had a lovely time painting our clogs, followed by a clog making demonstration and also a short talk about cheese making. Also had the opportunity to taste some of the cheeses. Would recommend this for relaxing change of pace from city centre Amsterdam
