Went by boat from Volendam to Marken on August 6th. Beautiful trip. On this trip I lost a little piece of my mother. That was found and sent to me by the company. What a fantastic service!!!!

I didn't know exactly what to expect from a visit to Hoorn or if there would be a lot of interesting things during the visit. And I was pleasantly surprised.The guide explained how Hoorn got started when it was all muddy and how they drained the earth so they could settle. He knows how to bring enough context to make it interesting but not too much either.Later we saw some beautiful buildings from the 1600s. I enjoyed how the guide could bring a place to live. At one building he showed us pictures of important inhabitants. He told us how they would walk through the streets in their best clothes when a special guest visited the town. Then he told us: and they were meeting in this room that you see over there in the building opposite the street.Hoorn is a beautiful city, with great history and I'm glad we had a guide who could tell it in an interesting and entertaining way.

A very nice cruise on the Ijsselmeer with a nice view of the harbors from the boat. The combination between Volendam and Marken is a very nice day out in your own country. The sailing times are ideal so you don't have to wait too long. It would be useful if you could scan your online ticket, so that you don't still have to wait in line.

The Volendam-Marken express is included in the IAMsterdam card, allowing you to travel the route from Volendam to Marken and back, with the option to bring bicycles on board. The journey lasts about 30 minutes and is excellent for visiting the two beautiful and very characteristic towns. Very attentive, knowledgeable, and kind staff.

Hoorn is a beautiful port city. You have beautiful monuments. In May and June there are free walking tours on Fridays beginning of the evening of Association Oud Hoorn. Hoorn is highly recommended for a wonderful weekend away.

Very great and friendly ride with the electrically powered water taxi. Drinks were provided . We would repeat that.
