Outer Banks Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

The whole experience was fun and magical. Best part of my trip, would absolutely recommend. Also, our tour guide Paul was extremely knowledgeable. We had an excellent time.

Wow, just Wow! Ellie was great. First the meeting point had good parking was easy to get to. Meet up was easy, registration had been done online with waiver filled out. Simple and smooth. Ellie, the guide was phenomenal, she had a Rick knowledge of the ecosystem, plants and wildlife. Also, she was great with a first time kayaker. The price was well worth the experience, the length was right at two hours. A moderate pace with plenty of rest time. There were only two of us, besides Ellie, but it was great The tour size is kept small. I'd do this again next time I'm here.

Try to get Paul as your driver. He's a great guide with lots of interesting facts, stories and humor! And be sure to tip him!

We learned a lot of things that we probably wouldn't have known by doing the audio tour.

We had a picture perfect day for our 4 hour pontoon rental. The boat was spotless and well kept, the crew friendly and knowledgeable. We hope to rent again!

Our family including 3 young children had a great experience! Gavin did a great job leading our group with interesting historical references, pointing out wildlife, answering lots of questions from the kids, etc. Highly recommend!! 👍👍

Great experience if you want to hang glide. The instructors were great. I was not scared. Everyone involved was friendly and helpful.

We had an excellent experience! The tour was well organized and easy to follow. Dropping off and picking up the tour again very easy. Wright Bros. Museum very interesting! Enjoyed the experience! PS Need a message for the end of tour at Corolla Beach. If you drive there at the wrong time of day, traffic back out to 158 can take forever. Best to list best times to be in that area in order to drive back out. Otherwise All GOOD!

Lovely evening kayak tour. Saw blue heron, osprey. Very relaxing and enjoyable. Our guide was knowledge and fun!

What a fantastic few hours we had with Gavin as our guide! He is knowledgeable and fun and kind. You feel like you’ve known him for a long time. I highly recommend this tour and Gavin in particular.

The tour was lots of fun! The island has an interesting history and our tour guide was engaging. There was even a stop at the place my friend and I were staying at, which was unexpected, and really cool. My only complaint is that it felt like we were running! I do walking ghost tours often while traveling and this is the fastest pace I've experienced.After the tour we did get a possible Angus sighting!

So much fun! We were able to explore the Kitty Hawk area while competing against others around the country to complete more missions. It was fun to flex our competitive muscle while working as a family. We highly recommend!
