Halifax 2026 Calendar of Events

Many thanks is due Elliott, our guide, for safely guiding us through Halifax and sharing its interesting history! It was a very enjoyable way to see a lot of Halifax! We also appreciated the quality of the e-bikes, the complimentary bottle of water and the saddle bags to Store our things!

There is music and drinks and pretty sites and loud bird. Sometimes you learn things. Very good stuff

We had an excellent tour experience in Halifax! Despite the cold weather and rain toward the end of the tour, we thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Our driver, Garrett, and our tour guide, Amina (or Amy- wearing glasses- did not get her name right), were both fantastic. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and provided plenty of interesting and informative details throughout the tour. Their excellent service made the experience enjoyable from beginning to end. The tour was definitely worth it, and we are so glad we decided to take it. Most importantly, the birthday boy—my brother—had a wonderful time! We would definitely do this tour again, hopefully on a sunny day, and would highly recommend it to our family and friends. Thank you, Garrett and Amina/Amy, for an informative, enjoyable, and memorable experience!

Our guide, JD, was awesome and we had a great time! We learned a lot about wine and about Nova Scotia along the way. Great way to see the province, great value, and great wine 🙂

Great Tour and Guide. Affordable.

The island is well maintained and has beautiful views of the harbor. Archer our tour guide through the tunnels was very informative and took time to answer questions. He did a great job of keeping people engaged.

We had such a great time on the Harbour Hopper! It was a fun and unique way to see Halifax, and going from touring the city streets to heading right into the harbour made the experience even better. Our guide was entertaining, knowledgeable, and kept things interesting throughout the whole tour.It was a great mix of Halifax history, sightseeing, and fun. Definitely something I’d recommend if you’re visiting the city and want to experience Halifax from both land and water!

We had three different buses and all the guides were so informative and very interesting and would recommend to anyone. Feel like we really got to know the city well

Windy, but wonderful drive out to Peggy’s Cove. Lighthouse was fun to walk out to. Fishing boats, colorful homes along the harbor, and a long horn being played by a costumed character. I had forgotten about the Swiss Air disaster, but very touched by some momentos left by families of those killed in crash. The Titanic cemetery never fails to be impressive when you think of the mistakes that lead to all the lives lost. Great driver with lots of knowledge about the area.

Easy to find, easy to board, easy to enjoy! We loved our sail. It was a beautiful day, the crew was kind and friendly and the captain was very attentive to his job. The complementary drinks were great, the small number of passengers led to delightful conversation. I would happily go again and again. I did wish for a small amount of commentary about the coast as we sailed (not a full historical tour, just a bit a of knowledge sharing), I do realize each person might wish for something different and this is no way took away from the experience- I just love to Know Things!

This was a fun day at three vineyards sampling wine. The chicken sandwich for lunch was excellent and more than enough. Sandy, our driver, added some history and humor to the trip. I highly recommend this trip.

Loved it! The ships crew was welcoming, singer impressive, safety emphasized and views stunning. A must do for any Halifax guest or local!!

We wanted to visit Peggy's Cove and Swissair Memorial and Titanic Cemetery were added bonuses. Well worth the experience! Arjun communicated via text before our excursion, so we were reminded just where and when to meet. Arjun's knowledge was informative and was just the right amount. Being in a Ford Transit van gave us an advantage of visiting the Swissair Memorial, as the parking lot is tight and did not see any buses stopping. The Half Day excursion was a good amount. It moved along yet not rushed. We were a full van, so while tight, we were still comfortable. Maybe 12 would have been ideal, verse 13. Great experience overall. Would definitely recommend Alpha Travel & Tours!

It is a great way to be on a tour you learn alot more of the places then if you drove yourself. And you don't have to do the driving

Our group of five ladies booked the Zodiac tour for our afternoon in Lunenberg and really appreciated Jason's heads-up several days in advance that rain was likely and that the Zodiac tour was likely to be cancelled. So instead, we replaced it with the Hidden Gems van tour and rescheduled the Zodiac tour for the next morning.Both tours were excellent and highly recommended!On the Zodiac tour, we enjoyed a totally different view of the area from the water. Jason (and his wife and partner Deb on another Zodiac) pointed out harbour seals, Atlantic grey seals, bald eagles, cormorants, and gulls (we learned there is no such thing as a "sea gull"). Did you know that dog whelks can eat periwinkles by injecting digestive enzymes through their shells? And that you can whistle through a periwinkle shell? We also got a geological lesson about glacial bowling balls and that there are more types of lichen in the area than wildlife (by a factor of hundreds).All in all, a really wonderful outing.P.S. Read the pre-trip instructions on where to meet. Just sayin' ....
