Good family experience to do right at the port. No shuttles needed, right at the dock. Good for limited time, very informative. Very handicapped accessible.

The tour was amazing-much more than I expected. There are multiple options, including an audio guide, docents stationed throughout the ship, and a scavenger hunt for younger visitors. The docents are highly knowledgeable and really add a lot to the experience. There are a lot of things on the ship that can be touched and manipulated, including the deck gun that can be raised and lowered. In addition to learning about the ship, the exhibition provides a great way to learn about the Battle of the Atlantic.

Really interesting ! History

They have a beautiful collection of completely restored and shiny cars. Not only do they have several Ferraris and Canadian vintage cars but also a brand new Austin Martin Valhalla. In the museum is a shop and a nice terrace between the cars. If you like cars then you should definitely check this out.

Recently attended this car museum. Lots of popular cars here and some very rare! Highly recommend anyone to visit here, you will not regret it! Worth it for sure!

A wonderfully restored and preserved warship to remind us of all those who served and sacrificed. If you ever in Halifax, please take time to visit this wonderful ship.

Helpful staff found the record of my grandparents and mother's ship within seconds using only the very limited info we provided about departure point and year. The guided tour portion was very moving and informative. Enjoyed the short movie on Canadian experience of immigration. Highly recommend this museum to anyone who immigrated to Canada or with ancestors who immigrated (so almost everyone unless you have indigenous roots).

This museum is definitely worth visiting! Highly recommend to anyone who had family members immigrate to Canada - no matter where from, or whether their point of entry was Pier 21 in Halifax or not. The Family History Centre is an amazing free service, where you can get help tracing family history and immigration records.

Great place for kids learning history in fun way.

This newish car/motorcycle museum is great stop for any enthusiast.After spending a couple in Halifax, it was on my way out of town heading towards Lunenberg. The place is all on one level, the staff is friendly and is around to answer any questions you might have.There are modern Ferraris, Mercs, Lamborghini along with muscle cars, vintage English cars and smattering of motorcycle. Many of the cars have a with plaque with background and/or a story. There are also themed video games in the back for kids and kids at heart.Worth an hour or so of your time.

I think the tickets are a bit expensive, but the place itself is very interesting. I never regret the time spent here. There is a small snack bar here too. From time to time, the parking lot hosts retro cars show from their owners.

The museum itself is excellent! It’s the staff and setup that really needs work! Started with having 3 employees at the kiosk not doing much (should have been able to buy your tickets here!), but instead you are directed to get tickets at the nearby gift shop??! It was extremely busy there, with lineups for tickets, and the poor gift shop employees not able to help customers with anything else. Guided tours go every hour, so if you miss one, you’re on your own. Don’t take the tour!! The Asian female tour guide that was doing the tour we caught up with, was absolutely terrible! She had only negative remarks to say about how the immigrants were treated by the Canadian government when they arrived; the “terrible” conditions they had to endure; accommodations were “horrible,” nothing positive at all from what we heard. Many immigrants were leaving famine and war torn countries, and even children during World War II were sent to live with distant relatives, but at least all of these people were alive, and had hope! The short film shown in the theatre was much more positive from different immigrants points of view, as well as the signage around the exhibition hall, was positive. The exhibits were very informative and enlightening. It was well presented and educational.
