Halifax highlights and lobster roll!
The tour is very good. Our guide Saeid texted us before we docked and picked us up right outside the port gate exactly on time. We went to all the places included and more. Saeid was very attentive, friendly, courteous but not intrusive. His recommendation for lobster roll at Peggy’s cove was phenomenal. We enjoyed his company very much and wish him and his family all the best in his future. We highly recommend this tour and Saeid.

I did both tours offered by Supernova on my recent visit and both were outstanding! Booking with Supernova is super easy and communication regarding any questions I had plus pre-tour emails confirming pickup times and location were top notch. Chuck was my guide for the Peggy's Cove/Lunenberg tour and he was fantastic. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the areas we drove through and visited and had wonderful stories and anecdotes. I highly recommend, if you have time, to book both tours Supernova offers - the areas are so different and I felt as though I got a really good "sampling" of Nova Scotia (both tours made me want to go back and explore NS even further). My guide for the Annapolis Valley tour, Kayla, was also fantastic. This was a tour where it felt like, with every stop, it got better and better and better. Every location was stunning and Ovens Natural Park was stunning and fun! Chuck also had great recommendations for lunch in Lunenberg (and tea at Mahone Bay - Spill the Tea shop - amazing!) Being in a small group (we were a group of 4 for both of my tours) made a huge difference - we came across some very large tour buses and it was nice to be in a smaller group and smaller vehicle so we could go off the beaten path a bit. The vans they use for touring are very comfortable.I highly recommend doing both tours Supernova has to offer!

I did both tours offered by Supernova during my stay in Halifax and both were fantastic! From beginning to end, the communication with the company was top notch - all of my questions pre-booking were answered and the pre-tour emails confirming pick up time and location were super helpful. Kayla, my guide for the Annapolis Valley tour was wonderful - super nice and very knowledgeable about the area. It was so nice to be with such a small group and not on a gigantic tour bus. The van used for the tour was super comfortable. The Annapolis Valley is gorgeous - this is definitely the more "chill" tour of the two offered by Supernova. The stops at Luckett's Vineyard and Hall's Harbor were lovely - the food at the Lobster Pound was great! The Grand Pre site was definitely the highlight for me - if you are interested in history, I highly recommend paying the extra fee to go into the museum and the church on the site. If you have time, I highly recommend booking both tours offered by Supernova!

Fantastic and personal way to explore Halifax/Nova Scotia… a must do!
We were picked up from our hotel by a very friendly and welcoming guide- Ian. Throughout our tour, Ian was a wealth of historical knowledge, and other interesting facts along the way. He was easy to talk with, accommodating- and due to the terrible weather at Peggy’s Cove which he even had rain coats on hand for us to use - we were given extra time in Lunenburg. Honestly, this was the way to see the sites around Halifax. It was personalized, arrived before and we were not part of the great tour bus groups that flooded attractions. I would highly recommend hiring Alternative Tours to anyone wanted to travel in comfort, peace and quiet, and get a tour! Thanks Ian for a memorable day in, and around Halifax.
