Just back from a long weekend at trail2extreme with our host Gary, Gary assesses your ability then plans the day accordingly. Had a great time with some challenging runs and great scenery. Hotel was good with a pool and jacuzzi, food was also good. Would definitely recommend a trip with trail2extreme.

From arrival at Sofia airport to departure all loose ends perfectly arranged by Smilen and his professional crew. Picked up in his branded van , stocked beverages for the drive to Gabrovo.The first question riders will ask “what about the bikes ?”. Professional nearly new KTM 300’s. Nearly new because everyone who rides knows enduro bikes only look new in the showroom.Hotel in Gabrovo is precisely what you need, clean friendly staff , good food.Day 1 on the bikes and into the mountains. Brief the guide on what you want , easy to superhard they can cater for it.The restaurants for lunch were great , good food , Bob , and a welcome place to gather your breath and re-energize.Dinner with Smilen , always checking if everything is ok.Smilen with his team and enduro heritage are capable of giving one of the best enduro experiences available.Bulgaria is amazing , the nature is astounding and everyone friendly , even the farmers you pass by on the way to the forests.Definitely going again.

9 slightly mature Brits touring Bulgaria on a variety of motorcycles. What could go wrong? Well, actually nothing, which says a lot for Bultrips and our brilliant guide Adrian. We slightly customised one of Bultrips tours to include some Soviet Military museums as well as the fascinating ancient culture of Bulgaria. Our tour took us East via Plovidiv , though the mountainous south to the Black Sea coast, working up the coast then returning west to Sofia. About 1000 miles in total on the Bultrips owned machines. Every site visit and hotel was organised in advance. The hotels were all very acceptable, included in the very reasonable tour price and mostly central to town. Adrian was always with us to organise and translate as we went along. I'd highly recommend these guys who really go the extra mile to make sure you enjoy your tour. The machines rented were a mix as we were a big group, but the base bikes were Yamaha 700. Not all have ABS, apparently not uncommon in Bulgaria. All the bikes were maintained and reliable with quality tyres.

Expertly guided by Adrian, we swept across Bulgaria devouring like locusts the culture,the history, the wonderful nature and of course the food and drink.what a great way to submerge yourself in another culture.We took home many happy memories from our adventures. Happily recommended.

Totally recommended! Me and eight friends did a seven day custom motorcycle tour with Adrian as guide. Bulgaria is revelation for those who have only travelled in 'western' countries. Brilliant organisation, communication, accommodation, flexibility, best-in-world biking roads, scenery, culture, food, beer and fun. We have travelled a lot together round the world and this was one of the best yet. Daniel and Adrian are absolute stars. Adrian is an archeologist with a passion for his country and its history - and riding motorcycles. He took us to places we would never have found ourselves. More than that, he instantly became part of the team - and a friend for life. The bikes were great, especially the Yamaha MT-07s, which were perfect for Bulgaria roads - bags of power, super handling and very flexible. Proof indeed that you don't need the latest giant adventure tourers to explore faraway places. In value-for-money terms, the trip was outstanding. The tour cost was way cheaper than most big name companies charge, plus food and drink in Bulgaria is a bargain. Above all, travelling with these guys means you are dealing directly with people who are passionate about what they do. Five stars are not enough!

I was picked up at my hotel in the morning and taken to where the bikes and gear are kept. Adrian greeted me with a warm welcome and I was quickly outfitted with very nice riding gear. Adrian completed an overview of the trip, a safety brief, and we were on our way. After a short ride through town, we were soon on the highway heading south from Sofia for about an hour. The traffic was light and this was a nice ride. We stopped at a rest stop and Adrian made sure that I was comfortable and that everything was well. After a quick snack and rest, we were back on the highway. After a short ride, we quickly exited the highway and the real fun began!The ride up the mountain was spectacular! Adrian kept a nice pace and checked on me often (as I had not ridden in a few years). After a 45-minute winding ride up the gorgeous hillside, we arrived at the Rila Monastery. What a beautiful place with a rich history set with high mountain tops in the background. Adrian, who had a tourism degree, provided a detailed account of the amazing story of the monastery from it's beginnings to modern-day.After a few hours strolling around the grounds, we got back on the bikes and went a short way back down the mountain and enjoyed an incredible lunch at a very nice restaurant and sat right next to a beautiful river. The fresh trout was delicious!The tour then took a detour to a very nice winery and I purchased four bottles of wine to enjoy with my wife back in the States. This was a beautiful place, set in the vineyards, surrounded by flowers, with the majestic mountains off in the distance.The last leg was very nice back roads returning to Sofia. Adrian stopped a number of times to point out very interesting aspects from the Soviet era, including an enormous metals factory (miles long), and a portion of the road we were on that, was actually part of an old military runway.The tour ended nearly 10 hours after it began, back at my hotel. I left the bike and front and Adrian returned later to retrieve it. This was a very professional operation and Adrian could not have been a better guide and riding partner. What an amazing day we had! I can not wait to return to beautiful Sofia and it's amazing people and take another tour with this tremendous outfit! Adrian, as promised, provided a really cool video of our day from his 360 degree HD camera so I may revisit the wonderful experience. Well done!

Daniel ( my guide) and I started in town, but, quickly were able to open the bikes up as we cruised the highway heading south out of town. The fun started as we started traveling on secondary roads and enjoying the rolling hills and green countryside. The best part was the ride on the winding mountain roads up to the Rila Monastery. The Rila Monastery is a sight to be seen, words cannot describe it. Due to my time constraints, I opted to forego the included lunch and ride. Daniel picked and enjoyable and fun route back to Sofia, which included winding country roads and a quick visit to a deserted military airfield and it’s decaying revetments. Wish I had more time available for the full day ride with lunch, but, we departed at 9 am and returned to the hotel at 3 pm and that was a great day!

From the moment I set off on my adventure with the brilliant Trail2Xtreme team, I felt I was in great hands. Travelling solo can be daunting, but right away I was welcomed into a small, friendly group and the atmosphere was nothing short of fantastic! We spent three incredible days riding across all sorts of terrain—including, unbelievably, some snowy stretches—which kept things fun and challenging. The hotel was genuinely lovely, the food was absolutely delicious, and the constant laughter and good-natured banter made every moment memorable. I honestly couldn’t have asked for better company; everyone was supportive and up for a good time. If you’re after an exciting, well-thought-out trip where you feel like part of the crew from the get-go, I wholeheartedly urge you to go with Trail2Xtreme. It’s an experience I’ll treasure forever.

What an amazing motor tour experience!!! Our guide Daniel was a very knowledgeable and experienced rider. During the whole trip, we could fully enjoy the magnificent views, windy mountain roads, impressive historic sights, and the local culture. The food was delicious everywhere, and the warm Bulgarian hospitality made us feel at home everywhere we went.Riding and navigating on your own in Bulgaria is tricky, it is hard to know in advance the conditions of the roads and the local drivers don't always follow the rules. With this tour, we had 110% of the enjoyment of the adventure while staying safe and getting 0% of the hustle to plan everything yourself.We had little time and the guide adjusted the tour to be custom for us, so we can get the best of it for 2 days -- everything from the pick-up location to the route was made, so we can enjoy it the most. Thank you to Adrian for the easy communication and organization. We will come back again! And warmly recommend it to any rider!The bikes were well maintained and in a good state. We had BMW F800R and Yamaha MT-07.

Booked with Gary for my 50th. Made very welcome with a cold beer whilst sorting gear out for the next day. 3 days riding a 4 stroke 250 KTM across meadows, through streams, logging tracks, single track, hill climbs. Bulgaria has it all!

Just back from an epic 3-day ride with Trail2Extreme in the Rila Mountains, Bulgaria Massive thanks to Gary and Danny for an unforgettable experience — from airport pickup and traditional Bulgarian food to a great hotel in Borovets and well-prepped KTMs (250s, a 350, and the option of 300 2Ts), everything was spot on. The riding was superb — forest singletrack, steep rocky climbs, deep muddy ruts, and sweeping mountain trails. It was challenging in all the right ways but kept at a pace that suited the group. One of the highlights was visiting Black Rock — a stunning viewpoint with dramatic scenery, but also a place with a dark past. It was used as an execution site during the communist era. Haunting, powerful, and a reminder of Bulgaria’s deep history. Gary and Danny kept everything running smoothly and wrapped it all up with a brilliant barbecue and a few cold beers. Incredible experience, to say the least.Like a cold beer in the middle of summe, a sunset on the beach…Riding from Meadows to Mountain Peaks, steep uphill terrain and 100s of miles of untouched land… Bulgarian countryside is like a dream.Gary and Danny were very helpful guides to my friend Chris and I as we are quite inexperienced in enduro riding.They know these mountains like they back of their hand… and it shows as they took us to the most coveted and scenic spots.They are also very considerate of your skill level and do their best every moment to make sure you are healthy and happy!Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience!!
