This cooking class was fun, and the food was delicious. Oswaldo was a great chef, teacher, and host. He shared his grandmother's mole recipe, which was my favorite. The other photo shows the chocolate tamales we made. I definitely recommend his cooking class for small groups.

Amazing cooking experience
Sasha was an amazing tour guide and showed us all the local items at the market, how to choose the produce for the meal we were cooking and shared a lot of information on traditional Mexican market items. The cooking portion of the tour was the highlight! We learned how to make homemade guacamole, tortillas, and other traditional Mexican meal staples. Sasha did a great job instructing us and explaining everything as he went. He was a very personable guide and chef and recommended taking his tours! Damien our driver and sous chef was a great assistant!

Great experience!
My friend and I were met at the municipal market and walked around as local produce and fish were chosen for our meal. Then we headed back to her home and participated in making some wonderful authentic dishes. Delicious. We were given the recipes to try at home. A big surprise was drinking fresh fruit margaritas out of a bowl! I love taking cooking classes in the countries I visit. It's a way to connect with locals and get away from the tourist sites.

Excellent food tour and tastings
We loved this experience! The tour started with a little history on cacao with a tasting. We learned we would be making carnitas and Pasteur that day, this changes daily I believe, and then we went to a tortilla factory and a few markets to buy what we needed. Then we went yo the chef’s house for the class. We all helped prepare the food and had an amazing feast with margaritas. Thank you chef Izzy! Then we went back to the restaurant for a tequila tasting. Highly recommend this family run tour. The highlight of our trip so far!

We loved this experience! While there was no pick up/drop off provided, it was a quick 15 minute Uber from our hotel (near the Marina) straight to the restaurant. The host was prepared for our visit, led us to our table, and provided a welcome drink. The cost of the experience covers the guided garden tour where you learn about the ingredients used in the kitchen for this farm-to-table restaurant, the cooking class, and the food itself - 2 drinks, 2 appetizers, 1 main course (shared in our experience), and dessert. We actively participated in making 1 cocktail and both appetizers. The chef was the guide through the whole process and took the time to answer questions, teach, and give us a special dinner.Even if we didn't make the food, we would've enjoyed the restaurant itself as the food, vibe, and staff were AMAZING.

Awesome experience, Jose was amazing! Go hungry, there’s no shortage of food, you’ll leave stuffed! Jose takes the time to personalize the meal to each person’s preferences and was held in a very cool century-old apartment building!Weird booking glitch, nothing to do with Jose. Kept getting notifications from Cool Destinations that booking had been cancelled while at the same time receiving reminders from Cool Destinations when and where to meet. We showed up anyway hoping Cool Destinations was wrong and glad we did!
