Pagosa Springs in southwest Colorado sits in the foothills of the San Juan Mountains about 35 miles north of the New Mexico border. The tiny town is surrounded by millions of acres of national forest, and area is famous for hot mineral springs including the Mother Spring, certified as the world’s deepest geothermal aquifer.
