The tiny town is surrounded by millions of acres of national forest, and area is famous for hot mineral springs including the Mother Spring, certified as the world’s deepest geothermal aquifer. Spa bathing and outdoor activities are top attractions. It is possible to hike the Continental Divide Trail and stand on the backbone of the U.S. that divides the eastern and western watersheds. The San Juan River running through the heart of downtown is great for rafting, kayaking, and trophy trout fishing. Nearby Wolf Creek ski area gets the most snow of any Colorado ski resort.

Jenelle was amazing, fantastic, knowledgeable and personable! She did an excellent job teaching the history of chocolate aka bitter water! She shared some wonderful information and then shared her wonderful chocolate with the class. Everyone got to personally dip assorted items in her special chocolate pot. YUMMY!!! Then we visited her store, let's just say everything was sinfully delicious 😋 The store manager even joined us tasting one of the the "poops" Sending this review lots of Love 💕 The "Utter People"
