In the southwest corner of New York state, 30 miles from the south shore of Lake Erie, Jamestown sits at the southern end of Chautauqua Lake along the banks of the Chadokin River. The small, engaging city has a walkable downtown with brick streets and several historic sites. The Jamestown Riverwalk, a 5-mile urban trail system follows the river through downtown and features several parks and a boat launch. Jamestown is the hometown of the legendary Lucille Ball, and the Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz Museum houses many props and set items from Lucy’s long television career. The city’s National Comedy Museum is the first state-of-the-art museum dedicated to telling the story of comedy in America.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect. However, this was simply an amazing experience. If you have any sense of humor at all (and are at least 15 or so), I really believe you will have a great time. My wife and I spent nearly five hours here and I loved every minute of it. There were so many different types of comedy that it was easy to have a great time. Not every comic (or type of comedy) was amazing but there was so much here, it was easy to have a great time.

This place is great. Numerous hands on activities. Tons of clips from comedians. Love the way they explain how comedy works. Also a section on cartoons. You can spend the whole day here.

If you love Lucy then this is a must see. Fantastic props and costumes from the show. Recreated sets. Fascinating info. Plan to spend a couple hours here as well as the National Comedy Museum.
