Welcome to Duluth

Duluth Minnesota is a Great Lakes port city set on the far western tip of Lake Superior. The Great Lakes’ largest and busiest port and the world’s farthest inland port usable by seagoing ships, Duluth’s history began with 17th-century French fur traders and continued through the 19th and 20th century industrial booms when Duluth was one of America’s busiest ports. Historical attractions vie with charter fishing, kayaking, and other land and water sports. The popular Lakewalk path starts in the Harbor Basin and passes under the iconic 1905 Aerial Lift Bridge to follow the scenic north shore for 7.25 miles. Minnesota Point barrier island protects the harbor and offers 4 miles of sand beach.
