Boise sits in the southwestern corner of Idaho 41 miles east of the Oregon state line. With 229,000 people, it is Idaho’s capital and largest city. In the third-wildest U.S. state, situated between the Rocky Mountains to the northeast and the Great Basin Desert to the south, and split by the Boise River and its 25-mile-long Greenbelt trail, Boise is dominated by the outdoors. Hiking, biking, and rafting are very popular, and skiing at Bogus Basin is only 40 minutes away. Downtown, historic brick buildings, craft breweries, taprooms, wine bars, a cider house, bars of all types, more than 20 coffee and tea shops, locally-owned restaurants, colorful murals, and quirky shops make for lively, delicious touring.

This was the highlight of all of our excursions offered as an extra package on the American Queen Voyages. It did not disappoint! The scenery was unbelievable, there was history to absorb, and the adrenaline rush through the rapids was amazing!

Do not miss this tour! We did full day but would do half day because would have been enough. Boat flies up river over rough waters with ease. Ride is smooth but thrilling. Stops to have a break along the way where you can eat. The history itself is fascinating! Highly recommend this trip.

We joined AMF rafting for the afternoon to do some rafting and had an amazing experience. The guides - Sydnee & Lafe were awesome and super knowledgeable about the sport. They showed us a great time and we will definitely be joining them again when our next visitors are in town.

We had a wonderful experience white water rafting with Sydnee and Lafe. They are a small, family run company and we felt such personal service. They were super friendly, helpful and very skilled and professional. We did rapids 2s and 3s with lots of down time in between. Very safe and good for all ages. We all had a great time and would highly recommend their services.

Loved this activity and would definitely do it again! We saw parts of downtown we wouldn’t have known were there that we want to go back and explore. Renting/bringing a bike Or scooter is recommended as you walk quite a ways. Do this especially if you are short on time. Also, try to find somewhere to park where you do not have to move your car for at least three hours. Looking forward to doing another scavenger hunt in a different city soon!

We had a blast! 5 groups of 4-6 ladies on a church activity... My only complaint would be that Cool Destinations only allowed me to purchase two groupings of tickets and then said they were unavailable. I had to use another website to get the rest that we needed. The actual activity was super fun, though.🤗
