Top Williamsburg Sightseeing Passes

Tis was a wonderful expierence we did it along ith the Yorktown American Revolution Museum. My son (17) is sa huge History Buff and he really enjoyed the fort and native settlement. The museum was very interactive and beautiful. We followed a tour guide who was informative and entertaining. I learned a lot.

Glad we got the Historic Triangle 5 day pass even though we only used it on 3 days. Great displays, live performance reenactments and history at Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. Only negative is the necessity to stand on line to get my passes at the Willamsburg visitor center after having purchased through Cool Destinations. It was explained that the system is not updated and that needs to be done.

Excellent tours to help celebrate the 250th birthday of the United States. The restored buildings of Colonial Williamsburg make you feel like you are a citizen in that era of what was then the capital of the Virginia Colony. Definitely try the colonial fare at the King's Arms Tavern. Moving on to Jamestown, you get to stand on the recreated ships that carried the settlers to its shores, walk through the recreated fort where they originally lived, and even come to appreciate the living quarters of the indigenous Powhatan tribes. You can really appreciate the cramped conditions and the absolute boredom of 4 months at sea the settlers had to endure, and the hardships and even starvation that took the lives of so many afterwards. Yorktown's Museum of the Revolution featured an in-depth tour of the entire war, and how significant the siege at Yorktown was to ultimate victory for the Americans. Not included in the tour, but definitely worthwhile, is to take the self-driving tour of the nearby actual grounds at Yorktown, sponsored by the National Park Service (separate charge). Standing on the grounds of the British surrender by Cornwallis is the fitting culmination of these entire 3 tours that make up America's Historic Triangle. This 5 day package is the way to go to fully appreciate all they have to offer at a comfortable pace. I did it in 4 and a half days and loved every minute.

We did a week-long historical trip and Jamestown Museum was the surprising highlight of the trip. The short movies and exhibits were outstanding. The staff was very cordial and helpful. We highly recommend this facility.

Well, the guide was very good and had great background stories to tell. The area obviously has a storied history and many overlapping tales from time. While this focused on civil war the guide went back into background. Also very knowledgeable about the greater area's history. Very worthwhile experience of a time in history that may repeat itself.

Extremely informative tour. The tour guide had a great depth of knowledge, great tour! It was interesting to hear the role Williamsburg played during the Civil War and specific stories.

Not far from each others, Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown, collectively tell the stories of how America became British colony in 1607 (Jamestown), how people lived in the colonial-era (Williamsburg), and how the American defeated the British to have won the revolutionary war in 1781 (Yorktown).The area is very interesting not only for the history but also for its beautiful sceneries along James River and York River. Sunset at James River is stunning. We watched it from Jamestown Beach Event Park in Williamsburg. We also took the Jamestown-Scottland ferry to see sceneries of both sides of the river from the ferry boat and watched the birds flying around the boat. Surprisingly, the 20 minutes ferry ride is free, and the line for getting on the boat was short and quick.All in all, we enjoyed our visit in the area!

Such an awesome exhibit! Very informative but also so fun and felt like an adventure! The entire towns were beautiful beyond words and the people we met were all amazing! Kids and adults in the group were engaged the entire visit!

These two historic places are a “must see” tourist destination. The multi-day pass allows visitors enough time to get the whole experience. Both museums are authentic and well maintained. The only recommendation I have is for Cool Destinations to state in its ticket pickup instructions that the voucher can be exchanged at either location to start your experience.

We visited Jamestown Settlement on our first day of our trip to the Historic Triangle Area. I found the museum to be interesting, especially the exhibits about Pocahontas. I really enjoyed the ships and the Settlement itself. I was a little disappointed when trying to board and tour the sailing ships as there were throngs of school children and it made a more through tour difficult. This can be expected when visiting here. Otherwise the Jamestown Settlement is a very good place to visit.

Upon arrival of the tour we were told that it was brand new by our guide Rob. He was very informative, personable, and professional. The days prior we had spent learning about the earliest settlement and the Revolutionary War. It seemed fitting to learn about the Civil War next. You may or may not see any ghost, but you will have a better understanding of the Civil War and the people affected by it. It was fascinating and humbling at the same time learning about the town's historical connection. We would definitely recommend this tour!

What I saw and did at the various sites and museums was well presented and thorough. However, I had difficulty getting a clear description of the Triangle Tour, never able to print the voucher even with an agent’s assistance, did not get clear instructions . Somehow I mistakenly understood that we were meeting at the Visitor’s Center, traveling in an air conditioned bus with a guide to the three cities with an included colonial lunch in Jamestown. After two Days of trying to understand, a volunteer set me straight and was able to experience Jamestown and Williamsburg. Because of the wasted time I never was able to see Yorktown.Overall the solo tour was satisfying, very educational and worth the cost. I would recommend it .

The multi day pass allowed us better opportunity to see, and spend more time in all the areas. However, we visited during midweek, so we were disappointed so many buildings were closed, and no outdoor reenactments were held. Overall, it was still wonderful to see, and walk the historic streets and sites.

We went back for three days and still didn’t see everything. During this trip, we visited Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown only. Since it was summer, it was very hot, and some outdoor activities were closed. However, the indoor activities had strong air conditioning, which made a big difference.The historic artifacts and recreations were amazing to see. We especially enjoyed the interactive experiences, such as playing the harpsichord and touching the different types of materials used to make garments in the 1700s.If you visit in the summer, bring cooling towels. We also brought a portable chair and towel for sitting, but we didn’t end up needing them because there were benches throughout the area.I definitely recommend making lunch and dinner reservations ahead of time because the popular restaurants get fully booked. Also, buy your tickets in advance if possible, since the ticket lines were long. Scooters are available to rent for anyone who needs one.Because it was so hot, they handed out water bottles during our visit, which was very appreciated. That may have been a special Fourth of July weekend perk, but it was a nice touch. The live events were spectacular; they had marching soldiers re-enacting 1700 soldiers. They had actors who played key roles like Jefferson reading the Declartions of indepence and Layfayette speaking in a theatre it was wonderful!

Amazing adventure! The people working colonies are so knowledgeable and friendly! We loved the experience. I would recommend it to everyone! Well kept sites, clean, easy to navigate. They had cooling tents since it was hot out.

The tour guide Elizabeth was wonderful. Very informative. Very nice person. She answered people’s questions. I would highly recommend this company Cool Destinations.
