This unique tour was a site-specific experience at its best! This was my second visit to Juneau, but I had no previous idea of the Treadwell Mine history and had no idea what to expect. I was so impressed! The history of the place was fascinating and full of archaeological remnants that were brought to life through the dynamic tour guide and just the right balance of augmented reality overlays on ipads which really helped provide context and a deeper understanding of the place. The tour itself takes place on an easily walkable trail in a beautiful park next to the water and provided some amazing vistas. I learned a lot and would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to learn more about Juneau's rich history.

We had a wonderful day at Pack Creek surrounded by bears! Kayly took such good care of us, the weather was perfect and we learnt a lot about the coastal bears and how to interact with them. This was a trip that we had been looking forward to for a long time and Pack Creek delivered!

My group was so fortunate to have Reina and Mike as our guides on our whale watch and paddle adventure. Firstly, they were so friendly. My group with Reina learned so much, and she was more excited to see the Orcas than most of us, and that felt really really fun. It reaffirmed my love for whales. Thanks for an awesome trip ABAK!

Kelsey our guide was very knowledgable, professional, friendly, and most importantly fun! We had a wonderful experience from the float plane flown by Bo to the guided bear viewing areas by Kelsey. We highly recommend the bear excursion as an activity while in Juneau, Alaska. Great job ladies!

Paddling with Whales tour was great. We had such a good time kayaking and we spotted Humpback whales on our boat ride to & from our kayaking spot! Julia & Matt took good care of us and both were so friendly and helpful! Highly recommended this tour!

Simply one of the best shore based experiences out there. So many tours fail to bring to life the history and stories in a compelling and engaging way. Each stop along this walking tour made the relics and ruins of the abandoned Treadwell Mine come to life. More than history, there were the stories of the people, the life and sometimes the tragic events that took place. The augmented reality really brought to life the scale of the place above and below ground in a way you would never otherwise understand. Not to be missed!

I'm a history buff, junky, serial podcast binger... this was a living breathing experience of something so unique, in a place unlike any other, on such a scale I couldn't have guessed. The way this tour comes alive through the interactive application of Augmented Reality was remarkable. It brought the whole history into the present and told it with a depth that I have never experienced.

Julia and Kirstin made this a day we will never forget!!! We had a beautiful day and three up close sightings of Bubble netting. We had never even heard of this phenomenon before let alone hope to see it so up close!!! Once in a lifetime! It was cool for your guides to be as excited as you are!

This excursion was incredible! Our captain Kristin found us an amazing spot to view whales playing and we saw several breaches and other fun activity! Then we were able to kayak and get so close to whales and other wildlife with Mike and Reina. I felt safe the whole time (you are close but not too close) and it was one of the best adventures I’ve ever had!

Great experience, first time in a float plane and seeing the landscape at altitude

It's better to go when the salmon are running and you can see more bears, but our awesome and extremely knowledgeable guide Kelsey made the trip worthwhile. I'd also like to give a shout-out to all the AK Fish & Game and NFS staff that help keep Pack Creek safe for us and wild for the bears.

It is nearly a full day experience, so worth it though. The tour group will provide for you everything that you need and a very nice stack at the end.

Julia and Matt were the absolute best and I will remember this awesome experience forever! Julia and Matt taught us about humpbacks as a species as well as intros to the local whales we saw on our tour! They answered our wide range of questions from recent whale research to how the whale watching guides and captains collaborate either each other. The views from the kayak were BEAUTIFUL. I couldn’t recommend anything more to anyone!
