Central Valley 2026 Calendar of Events

This tour was a big hit with our family and the most memorable experience of our trip. Rudy and Orlando were truly remarkable guides! We had some great conversations with Rudy and couldn’t have asked for anyone better. He and Orlando made sure our daughters (9 and 11) had a great experience! We loved swimming at the waterfall, seeing sloths, and the Volcano hike. Rain is almost a guarantee in the rainforest, be sure to bring a poncho. We had disposable ponchos, I would bring reusable if I did it again because the disposable just stuck to our skin. No need for water shoes on this trip. Llanos de Cortes is a short walk from the parking lot and the waterfall area is all sand. Sandals work fine there.

Amazing experience! Just as it was described on Cool Destinations and so much fun. You'll have plenty of time to see everything. The hot springs were my favorite part, sooo relaxing and plenty of time to spend there. The views are fantastic too. Fernando was our tour guide, he was awesome!! Lots of fun facts, very kind, and great driver.My husband and I were the only native English speakers in the tour group but knew enough Spanish that we preferred to try listening to some of the tour in Spanish. Fernando is a bilingual guide and accommodated us perfectly, speaking in a way we could understand while also keeping it fun and engaging for everyone. He also explained parts in English whenever we needed it.Also, at one point in the trip I had an upset stomach and became a little car sick (not fault of driver or any food from the trip, was just me). He was super kind about it and handled it smoothly.We all had a blast and I would absolutely recommend this trip! Everyone we interacted with was great. Huge shout-out to Fernando for making the day so great!

This trip was amazing! Our guide Fernando was so nice and he taught us a lot! My wife and I have been casually learning Spanish and he made it fun for us to practice. The sights were beautiful and the hot springs were a highlight of our trip to Costa Rica. Would recommend!

This was such a unique experience and we learned so much about coffee and chocolate. We had so many samples and our guide was very interactive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour!

This was an educational and fun tour. Easy walk for my 84 year old mom, and interesting for any age. Danny was our guide, and he did a great job of explaining the local history. We learned a lot about the basics of chocolate and coffee via explanation and through demonstrations. Especially fun that we got to taste the various chocolates! Thank you Danny for making this tour memorable.

If you go with Alex, you will have the best time doing this tour. He is great at explaining every detail of the park. Thanks to his patience and hearing expertise we were available to see al lot of diversity.

Excellent, even in the pouring rain! Our guide was wonderful and we saw so much wildlife, including 4 sloths! We brought our 2.5 year old with us and he had a blast too. Do bring rain gear, better to be safe than sorry.

Our guide is so knowledgable , and friendly! She was thw best guide for me. I learned about tree frogs and me other critters of the night. The host family prepare delicious traditional Costa Rican meal over wood burning stove. The property was beautiful. I am grateful they shared it with us! I highly recommend this tour!

The tour was great! We were able to see three out of six sloths and saw other animals as well. The waterfall was beautiful but you could not get close to it. 10/10 recommend this tour.

This was the second time I took this tour and was happy because I got to see one of the things I didn't get to see the first time. Just as the first time the tour was well handled and the lunch was even better than last year. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I am impressed at the amazing job that this organization does to protect wildlife. I highly recommend the visit. And also, their restaurant is really good. Definitely worth the trip!!!

The bus/walking tour of San Jose was excellent. Héctor, our guide, was friendly, very knowledgeable, and did a great job leading our small group through the city. Lunch was delicious, and the stops we made at the museums and landmarks gave us great insights into the history and culture.
