Absolutely exceeded my expectations
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely exceeded my expectations!I went into this experience thinking we were simply going to make our own chocolate bar, but it was SO much more than that! From start to finish, the entire experience completely exceeded my expectations.I believe our tour guide was Monica, and she was absolutely wonderful—so friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. I loved that we started almost immediately with a little shot of hot chocolate, which was such a fun way to kick things off!What really surprised me was how much we actually learned about chocolate. Monica took us through the origins and history of chocolate, explained how cacao is grown and farmed, and walked us through the entire process of how it eventually becomes the chocolate we know today. We even got to see and learn about the actual cocoa beans and taste chocolate at the different stages of the process. It was fascinating and made the tastings so much more interesting because we actually understood what we were tasting and how it was made.Then, of course, we got to make our own custom chocolate bars, which is what I originally thought the entire experience was going to be! There were tastings throughout the experience and then even more chocolate to sample at the end. We got to try such a huge variety.I booked this thinking, “Oh, this will be a cute little chocolate-bar-making class,” and walked away feeling like we had gotten an entire chocolate experience. The history, the cacao beans, learning how chocolate is grown and produced, making our own bars, and tasting chocolate throughout every stage absolutely blew my expectations.I would beyond recommend the Chocolatarium! It was fun, informative, interactive, and obviously delicious. Monica made the entire experience even more memorable. One of the best surprises of our time in Edinburgh!
