This tour was fantastic! Alexa gave the tour in English, and she was phenomenal. She explained everything clearly and succinctly, and she has such a vivid presence and personality that she really made the history come alive. Highly recommend!!

This tour was one of the highlights of my trip. Starting with a night hike up to watch the sun rise behind Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl was worth losing the sleep for — the meditation session at dawn made it even more memorable. Getting to plant a tree as part of the tour was a nice touch too. Jose, our guide, made the whole experience. He was warm, patient, and clearly loved sharing the city’s history and culture — he had stories and local insight for every stop, and made sure nobody felt rushed or lost in the group. He checked in with everyone individually, answered every question, and had a great sense of humor that kept the group’s energy up even during the early wake-up call. Tours like this live or die by the guide, and Jose was easily one of the best I’ve had.

Very knowledgeable tour guide Isaac was wonderful. He took care of everything, driving, tickets, life jackets etc. Gave good insight for Edward James and had to change the itinerary when the Tamul waterfall was not flowing so they substituted two other waterfalls. Isaac knew the places to explore in the waterfalls.

From start to finish, Daniel was incredibly helpful and thoughtful—he gave us great recommendations for accommodations and food that really elevated our trip. His knowledge is outstanding, not just about the rich history of the region but also about current topics, which made everything feel more engaging and relevant. What really stood out was how well he planned and paced the tour. Everything ran smoothly, and we got to see so much without ever feeling rushed. We had a bit of confusion getting things set up but finally got together. Angela, our guide picked my wife and I up at our hotel in her sedan and we headed to Tamul, stopping for breakfast. She is very capable and professional. We paddled the flat bottom launch up to the waterfall with random other people, as the boats hold about 18. We all (the entire boat) had a wonderful time! Bring dry bag and water shoes. You will get wet. A waterproof camera/phone bag is recommended. Angela played camp counselor and it felt like we were kids at camp. The second day, we visited the Surrealist Garden of Edward James. It is hard to describe in words or photos. Angela is an approved guide and well versed on the life of James as well as the meaning and significance of his work.It all went very smoothly. Had we tried to rent a car and do it on our own, it would have been much more stressful, taken longer, and been a lot less fun as there were a lot of details an insider knows because they have done it many times and know what works best. I'd recommend this company.

Our guide Alex was fantastic. This Mayan Adventure was the highlight of our trip to Mexico. Exceeded our expectations in every way. Would 100% recommend this company. Airport transfers were also excellent.

We were thrilled with the tour.our guides were so knowledgeable and passionate at each stage of the adventure. Mexico's diverse terrain from sea level up and up and up across the Sierra Madres. We felt safe, were encouraged to fully experience diverse geography, communities, cities large and small, and taste various cuisines. The climb by car, horses, and our own feet, higher than Machu Pichu, will remembered forever, along with wondrous views of the glorious Monarchs. We may well book again next year! This was an amazing visit to the butterfly sanctuary! I'll never forget being surrounded my thousands of monarch butterflies and holding some of them in my hand. Elvis was my trusty helper to get me to the top via horseback and hiking. We also visited Patzcuaro, Copper City, and Morelia while on tour, and Ulisses was a great tour guide, showing us these beautiful parts of Mexico, bringing us to excellent places to dine, and being a safe driver all the way. Highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful two days, getting to know the history and culture of Oaxaca. Our guide Edelmira gave us a lot of information about the Zapotec culture. She was also kind and caring as we are seniors and we had some mobility issues. Highly recommend this two day trip for first time visitors to Oaxaca.

This was such a wonderful experience. Ulises and Elvis took great care of us ensuring comfort and safety while showing great cultural stops along the way to the butterfly sanctuary. We not only saw millions of monarchs but experienced Patzcauro culture, Copper town artisans, Old Town in Morelia and great food along the way.
