Value for money was amazing too, seemed a little expensive when booking, but once we saw the portion sizes and quality of food we were very happy to pay that price. What a great way to leisurely see points of interest and learn things at one’s own pace. There was free street parking near the starting point. The “guide” provided interesting facts along the way, and we saw some things that we would have missed otherwise. The Public Gardens are phenomenal. P.S. We are boomers and found the audio your tour to be very user friendly to download, set up, and use.

It started at the cruise terminal! I went all around once! Then , went again and got off where the Titanic people that died and were buried at the cemetery! I had no idea! Great stops! 7 of them. 3 different tour guides and all were fabulous! I learned a lot! I highly recommend this!

It’s a very good option for touring. Only thing was we had a little issue with it starting again once we got to the next stop. Keep your phone out and pause it at the end of each description then restart when you get to the next. Otherwise, loved this! Well worth the money. Must have ear pods to listen to it.

A Personalized Tour We’ll Never Forget
We had an amazing private tour of Halifax with our guide, Birhanu! Peggy’s Cove was absolutely beautiful, and the entire day was filled with incredible scenery and interesting places that we would never have known to visit on our own. We came to Halifax knowing we definitely wanted to see Peggy’s Cove, but honestly, we weren’t very prepared with a list of other things to see. Birhanu took care of that! He showed us so much of Halifax, including the Titanic cemetery and the Swissair Flight 111 Memorial, the Citadel and shared the history of the Halifax Explosion along the way. His knowledge and stories really brought the area to life.We also loved how relaxed and personalized the tour was. We were free to stop whenever we wanted to take photos and enjoy the scenery, and we never felt rushed. Birhanu even provided fresh fruit and water to help keep us hydrated throughout the day, which was such a thoughtful touch.We enjoyed getting to know Birhanu as well. He was happy to answer our questions about himself and his family, and those conversations made the tour feel much more personal than simply sightseeing with a guide.By the end of the day, we felt like we had gotten to know Birhanu and had become quite fond of him. When it was time to say goodbye, we each gave him a hug — which really says everything about how comfortable and connected we felt after spending the day together.We highly recommend Birhanu for anyone looking for a knowledgeable, thoughtful, and personable guide. He gave us a wonderful introduction to Halifax and made our day truly memorable!

Was a great way to see the boardwalk without being on a schedule or in a group. Interesting information and learned just enough to feel we had done a tour. Pointed out things we would not have noticed otherwise. Needs to be updated as a couple of things were no longer there or had changed slightly. Would definitely do the audio tour again in another area.

The app was easy to navigate and great! I was only able to do 2/3 tours but then later in the day, I would pass a landmark and the app automatically would start telling me about the history! Made my time much more enjoyable and made me appreciate Halifax even more!

This was easily one of the highlights of our visit to Nova Scotia! From start to finish, everything was seamless, well-organized, and completely stress-free.Our guide was punctual, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. They shared fascinating stories about Halifax's history while making the tour fun and engaging. It felt more like exploring with a local friend than being on a typical tour.Peggy's Cove was absolutely breathtaking—the iconic lighthouse, rugged coastline, and stunning ocean views were even more beautiful than we imagined. We also appreciated the meaningful stops at the Swissair Flight 111 Memorial and Fairview Lawn Cemetery, which added so much historical depth to the experience. Visiting Citadel Hill was another highlight, offering amazing views and a great glimpse into Halifax's past.Because it was a private tour, we never felt rushed and had plenty of time to enjoy each location, take photos, and ask questions. Maaz is a wonderful guide to use in Halifax. He is a safe driver and takes extra care of his clients with mobility issues. He was able to stop at special turnouts for great view and pix. His restaurant suggestions in Lunenburg were spot on...quick, tasty and not too expensive. Can't go wrong using Maaz as your local guide.
