A good day in Transylvania
It was a terrific day. Traffic was intense getting out of Bucharest in the morning but Lucian, our driver and guide, made the time fly by with his stories. Peles Castle was well worth a visit. We only saw the outside because it is closed on Monday and Tuesday but still very impressive. Brasov is a lovely town where we enjoyed a traditional Hungarian lunch seated outside in the square. Then on to Bran’s castle. Lots of steps to get up the hill but the castle was lots of fun to visit. There are some outside displays of craftsmen and a good selection of souvenirs to buy if that is your thing. It was a long day but the scenery was interesting and our guide did everything in his power to make sure we were well looked after.

Stefan was very knowledgeable, driver was prompt. The order of the tour was great - starting off with bran castle, then brasov then Peleş castle. Lots of time to enjoy the views without really rushed.

Claudio was AWESOME!!! He was timely, professional, and unfailingly courteous. He has an incredible knowledge of Southeastern Europe's history, languages, geography, and current events. He was very approachable and honest talking about Balkan politics and everyday life. Fantastic day trip
It’s a long day but definitely worth it. Left at 8am and was back by 9pm. Narcis was a fantastic tour guide. Very knowledgeable with a lot of information to share. Speakers on the bus were a bit muffled so sometimes found it hard to hear what was being said. Peleş castle and Bran castle are quite different but both very interesting and beautiful. We bought entry tickets in advance, we arrived on time for Peleş castle and it was easy to change the time for Bran castle as we arrived earlier than the ticket we had. The old town square of Braşov is lovely, we had an hour for lunch then Narcis gave us a one hour walking tour which was very informative. Lots of hairpin bends so would recommend travel sickness pills if you’re not a good traveller. Very glad to have done a small bus tour, we were ahead of the big bus tours so didn’t have to face big queues at the castles for entry. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Mattia was quite knowledgeable and personable. I believe that the Dracula Castle is just a tourist trap. I I had to do it again, I would rather spend more time in Brasov instead of the fake castle.

We really enjoyed our full day of sightseeing in Bulgaria. Claudiu picked us up at our hotel in Bucharest, and did an excellent job of showing us some of the top sites in Bulgaria and was very knowledgeable. His English was excellent, he was fun to speak with and shared fascinating insights into life and history in both Romania and Bulgaria. We highly recommend this tour and Claudiu in particular as a great tour guide!

From pick up to drop off this was a great day. It was a long day but so worth it. Our driver Lonut was personable and knew his history . We didn’t feel rushed at each stop. The restaurant he took us to in Braşov was fantastic.Highly recommend this private tour .
