What To Expect
Take your first breath underwater and discover a whole new world beneath the surface of Key Largo. With expert instructors and small groups, you’ll enjoy a real ocean dive on vibrant reefs—no experience needed, just a sense of adventure.
Your experience begins at Amoray Dive Resort, where you’ll check in and meet your instructor. You’ll start with a brief, easy-to-follow introduction before heading into the pool to practice a few basic skills and get comfortable breathing underwater.
Once you’re feeling confident, you’ll head out by boat to the reef. At your ocean dive site, you’ll begin in shallow water with your instructor before gradually exploring deeper areas together at a relaxed pace.
Expect to see tropical fish, coral formations, and a variety of marine life in clear, warm water. Your instructor stays with you the entire time, providing guidance and support so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
No prior experience is required—just bring your sense of adventure and get ready for an unforgettable first dive.

Participants in the Key Largo Discover Scuba Diving Experience (No Experience Needed) cannot fly in an airplane within 24 hours of their dive.
The main concern with scuba diving and flying is decompression sickness (DCS). Your body needs adequate time during an ascent to off-gas excess nitrogen, or you can form bubbles in your bloodstream, possibly leading to DCS.
Jun 2024If you have any doubts about becoming seasick on the water, we recommend taking a Dramamine® Motion Sickness Relief tablet the night before your trip. Some people recommend taking it the night before your cruise and then again that morning so you will not feel so drowsy.
Feb 2023- For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the tour start time.
- If you cancel less than 24 hours before the tour start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
