A MUST do in Kyiv!
This is a MUST if visiting, the guide Svit is an incredible guide. Showed us so much, ensured we were as safe as possible. So much history with first account storytelling. The highlight of me and my friend’s trip to Kyiv.

A MUST for any Kyiv expedition
10/10 24M AmericanAnyone that is able to make the trip to kyiv must take this tour! You get picked up right from your hotel and straight away you are on an adventure experiencing real and unfiltered history. You will get detailed and vivid descriptions of both the early days of the Russian invasion aswell as the occupation of of ukraine. You get a real sense of the sheer devastation aswell as the brutality of the fighting both throuout all the towns along the irpin as well as the outskirts of the city itself. This tour is for those who want a more grounded and down to earth less sanitized or commercialized view of the greatest war the world has seen since the end of ww2. The guide is absolutely superb and is 100% open to any and all questions. This is the best part in my opinion because you get a real opportunity to ask about every aspect of the war or everday life without worrying you may offend or overstep in some way, giving you true freedom to answer any questions or curiosities you may have had about the ukraine war of the everday struggle of its people in its fight for independence and freedom.

Fascinating Journey Through Ancient Kiev

2 hours Private Walking Tour in Ancient Kiev

Fascinating Journey Through Ancient Kiev
I recently took the 2-hour Private Walking Tour in Ancient Kiev, and it was an incredible experience. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared fascinating stories about the city’s rich history, architecture, and culture.Walking through the ancient streets felt like stepping back in time. We explored historic landmarks, beautiful churches, and hidden corners that I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. The guide tailored the tour to our interests, making it engaging and personal. The pace was perfect — not rushed, but still fitting a lot into just two hours. I especially loved learning about local traditions and the legends behind some of Kiev’s oldest sites.Overall, this private tour is a fantastic way to get an authentic feel for Kiev’s history and charm. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of the city beyond the usual sightseeing spots.

Walking with a purpose
We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Michail: full of knowledge, adding to the history of the city his own family history, showing pictures and videos in addition to him telling the story and open to questions all the time. Fabulous experience - highly recommended!

Amazing Food Tour
I have never done a food tour before, so I didn't know what to expect, but I was very pleasantly surprised at how great it was. Julia was an excellent guide who knew a lot about Lvivs history and its cuisine. We went to a lot of places I would have never found on my own and tried some great food, would highly recommend this tour.

An Exceptional Experience
New York City
Soviet Kiev – 2 hours Walking Tour
913casandrad, Jun 2025
An Exceptional Experience
Had a wonderful experience on the Soviet Walking Tour with Liudmyla! Kyiv Walking Tours was able to fit me in their schedule not only on short notice, but with exceptionally extenuating circumstances due to the war. This was not my first time in Kyiv; before the war, I used to live and work 45 minutes away from the city, but this was my first visit back since 2021, so, I wanted to make the most of it. Liudmyla was exceptionally informative--I learned so much about locations which I'd seen many times over, but had no idea of their past. She was also very receptive and patient to my questions--of which there were a lot! There were many locations on the tour that were off-limits due to security concerns, but Liudmyla always checked with the guards; she even helped me find the best angle of the parliament building through the barbed wire fence! She even gave me a small gift on behalf of her and her colleague, Vlad, at the end of the tour. Overall, I really had an amazing experience with this company. If you find yourself in Kyiv, don't hesitate to reach out to them. I know I'll be writing to them again in the future when I return to my favorite city!

The private transfer from Luxor Airport to our hotel was impeccable. The driver was punctual, polite, and professional, ensuring we had a comfortable and enjoyable ride. The car was modern and well-maintained, with air conditioning that made the journey pleasant. The driver took the most efficient route, and we arrived at our hotel in no time. Amazing experience
Super interesting and different experience in Kyiv. The bunker is full of artifacts and huge. The sewer trip down the manhole is a very different experience, make sure you are reasonably fit for it! You are given the overall boots so you don't get wet, make sure to take a belt to attach them to. Guide was chilled and showed me a lot of interesting things.

We had a really interesting tour with our guide Artem. Artem has decades of experience and can provide a lot of background information. He is a very quiet guy, so ask him lots of questions. We saw the drainage canals of Kiev from Soviet times and from 150 years ago. Afterwards we visited a bunker where you can still find many interesting things from Soviet times. Time has stood still there. Very interesting!

This tour is an exciting way to explore Kyiv in 1 day
The tour covered a comprehensive selection of Kyiv's attractions, providing us with a well-rounded view of the city's rich history and contemporary culture. Our guide Svit was not just a cool guide, he was exceptional. His knowledge of Kyiv's history, culture, and hidden gems was impressive. The tour included a visit to the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, this extensive complex with stunning churches, museums, and the famous Lavra Caves - it's a true highlight of the tour. Svit navigated us through this site, sharing captivating stories and historical context.Svit's friendly and accommodating nature made the tour feel like a journey with a knowledgeable friend rather than a standard guide.Overall, this tour is highly recommended for anyone looking to discover the heart and soul of the Ukrainian capital.
