Ellis is a native of the island and knows his way around. He is very knowledgeable and kind. We felt very safe with him and he was super helpful even beyond this excursion. This excursion ended up being more like 5 hours - there was no rush. But don't plan anything right after this excursion. We visited the hummingbirds and saw sooo many (if you are prone to mosquito bites, bring bug spray) and then we had a great hike through the forest. Ellis was able to point our things we would have missed. Then we had lunch at a local place by the beach. He was so kind to bring us drinks afterward because he felt bad that he didn't have enough of the kind my kids liked. If you are going to Tobago, Ellis should be your friend.

Our family of 6 did this rainforest “walk” on a Mom + kids trip (ages 14–52), and let’s just say… it’s only a walk if your definition includes mud, steep climbs, and the occasional test of family trust.Ellis was fantastic, welcoming, genuinely passionate, and full of knowledge about the forest, its residents, and the ecosystem. You can tell he actually loves what he does, which makes a big difference when you’re halfway up a slippery incline questioning your life choices.This is a solid 3-hour HIKE, not a casual stroll. Expect uneven terrain, some climbs, and plenty of opportunities to appreciate having decent grip on your shoes. Wear proper footwear and definitely don’t wear anything you’re emotionally attached to, we all left a little muddier and a lot more accomplished.Lunch was delicious, and the hospitality in Tobago was, as always, warm and effortless. The hummingbird feeding and welcome at the end were easily the highlight, equal parts magical and well-earned after surviving the jungle.We all would highly recommend if you enjoy nature and don’t mind earning your lunch the hard way.

There was some miscommunication between Cool Destinations and the tour company - we booked the Waterfalls and Hummingbirds, but the tour company were told Tobago Highlights. We only realised half way through when we thought we were running late. However the guide (Edith) extended the tour and still took us to both places. The waterfall was nice. about a 30 minute walk with a guide, and then 30 minutes to swim in the (cold) water. The Hummingbirds were excellent. One of the highlights of our whole trip to Tobago. A note for photographers: You are very close to the birds. I used a 100-500 zoom, but a 70-200 would have been just as good. You need to stop down the get enough depth of field for the whole bird to be in focus. And even 1/8000 shutter didn't freeze the wings. Better to use 1/2000, accept a bit of blur, and have less noise

This hummingbird experience was unexpectedly amazing. The. bird was sipping from a small container in my hand. You could hear the hum of the wings while it hovered. The hostess called the birds with rolling tongue and chirping sounds. We called her the hummingbird whisperer. The cost for the bird experience only is TT$100 and with lunch it is TT$200. This is a bird watchers adventure. I totally recommend it for anyone who is into nature.

Edith gave us the best day today. We were with her for eight hours and she never ran out of information to give us. The itinerary was very well out together with lost to see and do. Highly recommended.

I called Xanda Tours off the Google Maps app. I am so glad that I did! I got connected with Keino, and he set up a glass bottom boat tour for the following day. We met Captain Phillip at the dock and had an absolute blast! We brought our own cooler of drinks and a few snacks. He took us snorkeling go in and is round the coral reef. We have a fantastic meal of barbecue chicken and bread fruit boil down on No Man's Land. Then we had a few wicked rum drinks before heading back.He also set up an island tour for us. Phyllis was our driver and we had a nice leisurely tour up one side and down the other. We took the main Ridge Road through the protected rainforest. We were able to take some beautiful photographs along the way. We went at our own pace.I have to mentionted lunch was included and we have that in Castara. The options were barbecued chicken or curry King Fish with macaroni pie or Coocoo.Keino, Phyllis and Captain Phillip made us feel like family.

Highly enjoyable long day including hotel pick up, flights and personal transport to Pitch Lake, Waterloo Temple and Caroni Swamp with excellent and fun local guide Enyia. Rotis for lunch. The roosting of the Scarlet Ibis as dusk was so beautiful and an wonderful experience.

Best Island tour given by Noel.He is very knowledgeable about the island of Tobago. We saw parts of Tobago which are Gems. Lovely breath taking beaches and the inclusive lunch at Jemma's was Scrumptilicious! My new word! The day was perfect especially when I personally met Ms Jemma,big hugs all around, friendly kitchen staff,and breath taking view while enjoying our savory lunch. We will be back!

Great experience - we had literally rain (it was raining cats and dogs) and forrest. Ellis is a really great guide - very knowledgable of nature and culture. Highly recommended tour!

Edith was excellent . She had a world of information about the island knew exactly where we were and the history behind it.

Don't believe the three hours - Ellis is with you all day. We read three hours, shortened our trip and left Ellis six happy hours after meeting him.Ellis is Tobago through and through, so if you have any requests, just register them when you meet. Waterfalls, Forts... you name it, he'll incorporate it.

It was breezy & chill the ferry was enjoyable water was choppy take Imodium The scenery was a nice sight, you get to see other islands in surrounding regions
