Top Pittsburgh Half-day Tours

The tour guides are incredibly fun and knowledgeable, and the bikes are very high quality / comfortable / easy to ride. The tour goes through so many beautiful, historic, and scenic areas. I would highly recommend it to anyone! Kane, especifically, was an INCREDIBLE tour guide and made the journey so enjoyable and educational!

Rob was very knowledgeable about all things Pittsburgh. It was a fun group and we enjoyed all the food. Be sure to come hungry!

Worth the time. Delicious food

Excellent, cool, fun time. Guide Chris was excellent.

We had a great time with Chris. He took us to three breweries, each better than the last. Apparently the one that is on virtually every tour, because they provide food, is the Church Beer Works. That is in a fantastic location, inside an old church, complete with stained glass. The beer and food were outstanding too. My favorite brewery was Lolev, with puts the untappd ratings of its beers right on the menu. When nothing is below a 4, you know it’s pretty good.Chris is a high school teacher who does this on weekends. Most of the best tour guides we’ve had have been educators, and this was no exception. Very outgoing, very knowledgeable, and very accommodating. We’ve been on another tour with this company so I know it’s standard to start with asking favorite beer styles. He took our input and crafted the menu around it. I have to apologize to my fellow tourist who tried the Lolev plum saison (saison being my favorite style), made a face, and pronounced that it was . At least I think she liked everything else, and I gave it top marks. Chris was also right when he said there was an IPA at our first stop that people who don’t like IPAs would like. All in all, a delicious and informative afternoon.

This activity was alot of fun you cover alot of the city and learn some history. The tour guide truly enjoys his job.

We did the in-depth tour, which was undoubtedly worthwhile as it is almost access-all-areas. The home and location are utterly beautiful. We felt that the docent could have hit us with more hard information about the design, engineering and maintenance of the site. Our driver to the location gave us the better information. We also felt that the replacement encyclopaedia set in the bedroom was a mistake, as it looks jarringly inconsistent with the other artefacts!

Fallingwater underwent extensive renovations in the past several years, and is in beautiful condition. The Visitor's Center consists of a room of Fallingwater History, a central information desk, a store full of high quality souvenirs and of course rest rooms. We booked an extended tour at 4:40, and had an outstanding tour guide for our hour and a half tour. After the tour, we headed by car for Polymath Park, site of 2 Wright houses which have been moved there and 2 houses which were designed by a Wright apprentice. Note that cell phone service is slightly spotty in this area, so try to have written road instructions. It's about a half hour drive to Polymath Park in good weather.

The tour was filled with both history and fun. The tour guide was very knowledgable and pointed out interesting facts about the city. The breweries visited were nice and the beer was good. I would warn those taking the tour that the biking is a little tough when you go up hills. Fortunately there are only 2 during the trip. Also, this is NOT a strictly timed tour. It is taken a a very leisurely pace with plenty of time allowed at each stop.

My wife booked this as a Father's Day gift and it was a great experience. Our guide, Dan, not only knows his beers, but imparts lots of Pittsburgh history and points out many landmarks along the way. His partner Diane keeps things moving and they both do a great job looking after everyone to make sure they have a fun and safe day. I would strongly recommend this trip to anyone, even if you're not an avid bike rider. You'll have a great time!

We absolutely loved this experience! We were unaware of all the history and character that is Lawrenceville being from out of state, so it was really cool to learn about it all from a beer-enthusiast and Pittsburgh-native. John was an incredible tour guide and had so many cool facts about the area as well as beer! He was truly a delight to listen to and we valued his opinions. The ticket price was very reasonable for what you are getting in the tour - one of the best values I’ve had in an experience like this. Highly recommend!

I learned so much about Pittsburgh!!! Our guide, John , was the best. Knowledgeable, Patient, friendly, passionate about what he was teaching us about not just the breweries but Pittsburgh!!

Emily was a fantastic tour guide! She was very knowledgeable and informative, keeping the tour energetic and enlightening.

Super fun, lots of Pittsburgh history, great selection of samples

Bike the Burgh Neighborhood Gems tour was an awesome experience, revealing some amazing sites in Pittsburgh's neighborhoods on or near the North Side - Mexican War Streets, Randyland, Manchester, Bicycle Heaven, along the rivers, stadiums, bridges and more. Biking is a great way to see these neighborhoods and side streets. Our guide, Dave, was a fountain of historical, cultural, architectural, and Pittsburgh knowledge. He'll go as deep as you want into this or just scratch the surface with some fun and interesting factoids. He was also personable, funny, patient, and flexible with all our questions and stops along the way. The bikes are new, in great condition, and very easy to use. Scheduling our tour was also easy and convenient, as we did have some concerns about weather and logistics. Very highly recommended operator, tour guides, and bikes! Their enthusiasm about Pittsburgh is contagious. We've been on city bike tours in Paris, New Orleans, San Francisco, Savannah, and Chicago and this ranks with the best of them!

There are hills and you will ride on streets with traffic. Just a heads up 😀. Our guide, Doug, was fabulous. Personable, charming, knowledgeable and funny. We learned sooooo much about the history of Pittsburgh, from its founding to current day.The tour takes about 3 hours, and has many stops along the way. Lots of opportunities to take photos.Bring your own water and sunglasses. There is a small bag on the front of the bike to store your water, cell phone, etc.Biking the Burgh has the highlight of our trip to Pittsburgh so far.
