Pittsburgh Travel Guides (Updated September 2026)

It was a very good tour of the city and it's history. The guide made a point that the information was factual.

Bike the Burgh Neighborhood Gems tour was an awesome experience, revealing some amazing sites in Pittsburgh's neighborhoods on or near the North Side - Mexican War Streets, Randyland, Manchester, Bicycle Heaven, along the rivers, stadiums, bridges and more. Biking is a great way to see these neighborhoods and side streets. Our guide, Dave, was a fountain of historical, cultural, architectural, and Pittsburgh knowledge. He'll go as deep as you want into this or just scratch the surface with some fun and interesting factoids. He was also personable, funny, patient, and flexible with all our questions and stops along the way. The bikes are new, in great condition, and very easy to use. Scheduling our tour was also easy and convenient, as we did have some concerns about weather and logistics. Very highly recommended operator, tour guides, and bikes! Their enthusiasm about Pittsburgh is contagious. We've been on city bike tours in Paris, New Orleans, San Francisco, Savannah, and Chicago and this ranks with the best of them!

Takes about 2.5 hours, but you get a FULL tour of what Pittsburg has to offer. We had an impromptu rain storm, but both ladies running the tour handled it with grace.

The tour was interesting and informative! The tour guides were enthusiastic! We enjoyed the many stops and the other tourists were friendly!

There are hills and you will ride on streets with traffic. Just a heads up 😀. Our guide, Doug, was fabulous. Personable, charming, knowledgeable and funny. We learned sooooo much about the history of Pittsburgh, from its founding to current day.The tour takes about 3 hours, and has many stops along the way. Lots of opportunities to take photos.Bring your own water and sunglasses. There is a small bag on the front of the bike to store your water, cell phone, etc.Biking the Burgh has the highlight of our trip to Pittsburgh so far.

Nice tour! You will see a lot of hidden spots. Go hungry!

Everything perfect just as planned. Definitely worth a tour as the guide explained everything from NA to USA history and we had a lot of fun during the trip to the sites

Gabriel did a great job! It was just my wife and I so everything was centered around just us lol. It worked out great and we got to pick his brain about the tour and the city. My wife and I would definitely recommend this tour!

This tour was very informative. Danny gave a first class presentation throughout the two hour tour. Danny pointed out unique landmarks and explained the story behind them. Booking the tour in person was quick and easy. This tour is highly recommended.

Our guide Ken gave us a fantastic tour! He shared excellent insights and pointed out spots we otherwise would never have known. He had interesting history and stories of sports teams’ players, ownership and old stadiums. He also made the tour kid-friendly for our kids of 10 and 12 years old. I would highly recommend this tour to any casual or hard-core sports fan.

Emily was a fantastic tour guide! She was super sweet and knowledgeable and taught us so much about the city while supplying us with endless good treats! Emily pointed out many recommended shops and restaurants for us to check out which was an awesome added bonus!

Our guide was George who was absolutely passionate about Pittsburgh. We learned so much about this beautiful city highly recommend hooking up and learning all the tips and tricks.

Couldn't ask more perfect night. Weather was beautiful. Captian was great and well informed, with a great sense of humor. Seeing the city at night from the rivers was a whole different experience. Would nighly recommend.

I had an awesome time on the Wigle Whiskey distillery tour yesterday! Our tour guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I learned a lot about both whiskey and the history of Pittsburgh, which made the tour even more interesting.The whiskey tasting was great, and it was a fun way to experience what Wigle has to offer. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience from start to finish. I’d definitely do the tour again and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys whiskey or wants to learn more about Pittsburgh’s history!

Great tour. Our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable and friendly. Nice stories to go along with the tour to make it memorable. I would definitely recommend it. I also purchased the coffee and rye whiskey.

Emily our host was very knowledgeable of Pittsburgh landmarks and gave us lots of great history about the City. The food was great and was reflective of Pittsburgh culture. Highly recommend doing the tour on your first day to gain insight into restaurants, coffeehouses and bakeries.
