Fantastic day with Brigette.
Our tour guide Brigette was incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job guiding our visit through the Somme. During the day she managed to research my wife’s great uncle who died in the Battle of the Somme and took us to visit his grave. The sights that she took us to see and the stories she was able to share about them brought the tragic events to life. Thank you very much Brigette.

One of the best tours we have done. Olivier was a wonderful guide. Full of knowledge about the area and the conflicts that occurred. As we are from Australia, Olivier concentrated (but not solely), the tour on the Australian Corp and their participation. A visit to the Sir John Monash Centre was included and a must see for all Australians would highly recommend this tour and especially Olivier

A memorable pilgrimage to where so many Australian’s lie killed in action - 46000 of them - across the battlefields of Northern France in Fromelles, Villiers Bretenoux, Poziers, Mouquot Farm, Paschendale, le Hamel, Mont St Quentin and many others. What a terrible price to pay - death of the dreams of youth 😢 The private tour we undertook with Olivier was excellent and super informative. A must do for any Aussie or Kiwi visiting. Definitely another one off the life bucket list - just incredible and so moving. Lest we forget 🇦🇺💪🏽

Wonderful Tour-Fantastic Guide
We had the most amazing tour with Jon whose knowledge of events of WW1 within this area was incredible. His passion for history infectious and explanations of events easy to understand. Our tour encompassed all the major sites and then a few unexpected ones including a visit to a privately owned aircraft museum. My husband who is ex RAAF throughly enjoyed this stop. Thankyou Jon we would not hesitate to recommend you. Our day was more than we could have hoped for.

The BEST guide for the Somme
Brigitte De Cuyper was a fantastic guide! She is from there and not only knows a lot about the battel of the Somme but also recent events that have happened over the last 50 years. Her English is excellent, she spent over a decade in the UK. We actually went to same spot the picture was taken of the guys jointly carrying the containers down the waterlogged street. It was great.

Outstanding day getting to all the battlefield sites. Our host John is an incredibly knowledgeable guide. He was able to show us all the related sites we were looking for, and answer any questions we had. I don’t think there is anyone else that could provide a more comprehensive day trip. If you want to see Vimy Ridge (especially Canadians), I urge you to book this trip. John had a perfect itinerary planned, which wasn’t rushed, but covered all the points you need to see. Beyond that, he was flexible in any other requests.

Exceptional tour with incredibly knowledgeable guide
My two sons (aged 11 and 13) and I did a four-hour private tour of the Somme, the 1916 Museum, and the main sites in Albert. I could not recommend this tour more highly. Our guide, Brigitte, has a deep knowledge of WWI history and how the battle of the Somme played out over the years in the area, especially since she grew up there. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and she excelled at engaging my children and engaged them for the full four hours. She was incredibly accommodating of our interests and timeline as well. We got so much more out of our visit to see the Somme than we ever could have hoped to do on our own. Worth every penny. She created a wonderful, fascinating, and engaging afternoon in the French countryside that we will never forget.

This tour was so much better than we even imagined! Diane was our guide and she was super accommodating (stopping at the supermarket so we could get some vital supplies for our accommodation), and so incredibly knowledgeable. She tailored the tour so we got to see and hear stories directly related to the NZ experience in WW1 and even recommended the Commonwealth War Graves Commission in Arras for a visit, which my hubby and I did the next day and found fascinating. The temperatures were in the vicinity of 38 degrees and Diane considered that throughout the day and had plenty of water in the cooler and even a hat I could borrow! If you are in the area (or even if you didn’t plan to be) add this to your itinerary. My hubby, ex NZ army, was so taken with the whole experience and it was so much more than he expected. War history is not my thing normally, but this tour changed that perspective for me. Thank you so much Diane! Karen and Matthew

Our guide Sylvestre was excellent he had so much knowledge about the history and tragedy that occurred in the area, it was a sombre and humbling experience. We visited Somme Beaumont-Hamel preserved battlefield, The Thiepval memorial to the missing, Pozieres Australian monument, The Lochnagar mine crater, Villers Bretonneux Australian Memorial, The Sir John Monash Visitor Centre which was excellent and highlight of the visit to learn more. We went to local french cafe for lunch which as great. Everything was perfect from communication to ease of booking, modern comfortable van and getting the TGV train from Paris we also had time to do a quick tour of Arras town centre. Highly recommend booking on any of his tours
