We had an amazing time. Allison was extremely knowledgeable she took the time and I research my great, great Uncles journey and showed us some meaningful sites. It was a highlight of a our France trip

We had a perfect day with Brigitte. Her friendly manner, great humour and, of course huge breadth of knowledge made for a perfect day. I could not recommend her more highly.

Olivier was an excellent guide. Pick up from our apartment went smoothly and so too the tour thereafter. He is knowledgeable and is able to give his guests the ability to visualize the terrain as it was . So place names on a map take some shape when standing for instance at the windmill or when at the Newfoundland trenches. Has a great set up in his comfortable merc suv with an iPad with trench maps and historical photos. Highly recommended

This is a long, emotional day well worth the time. It was great having a private tour, as we set the pace.

Alison gave us an excellent tour of the area. She is very knowledgeable about the WWI events. She explained the events of the war with enthusiasm. We are from Canada and of course liked Vimy Ridge, but I was also interested in the UK, French and German Cemeteries and associated stories. We stopped at multiple locations. I loved driving through the French countryside. Our tour was just the guide, my wife and I. The vehicle was comfortable. She picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off there 8 hours later. We stopped at a nice sandwich place for lunch. Thanks Alison.

Brigette was amazing. Receiving a tour from someone who grew up in Beaumont and had real life ever day stories of what it's like living in a place so heavily impacted by war was incredible. She was extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and relayed all the information in a way that kept you engaged. It was one of our favourite experiences on our trip and she was one of the best tour guides we have had.

Brigitte was a fountain of knowledge regarding the local WW1 battlefields and what occurred in the area. She and her family have lived in the area for years and that gives her added insight. We enjoyed her company and knowledge.

We loved our private tour with Alison, who customised the tour to take in a mix of our Australian and Scottish interests. Alison was incredibly knowledgeable and also very compassionate towards those who served. Highly recommend.

Our tour guide Brigette was incredibly knowledgeable and did a fantastic job guiding our visit through the Somme. During the day she managed to research my wife’s great uncle who died in the Battle of the Somme and took us to visit his grave. The sights that she took us to see and the stories she was able to share about them brought the tragic events to life. Thank you very much Brigette.

I recommend this tour very highly. Jon was an excellent guide - very knowledgeable, understated and sensitive to the needs and interests of our group. The tour was well designed and planned. One of the best tours we have done. Olivier was a wonderful guide. Full of knowledge about the area and the conflicts that occurred. As we are from Australia, Olivier concentrated (but not solely), the tour on the Australian Corp and their participation. A visit to the Sir John Monash Centre was included and a must see for all Australians would highly recommend this tour and especially Olivier

We had the most amazing tour with Jon whose knowledge of events of WW1 within this area was incredible. His passion for history infectious and explanations of events easy to understand. Our tour encompassed all the major sites and then a few unexpected ones including a visit to a privately owned aircraft museum. My husband who is ex RAAF throughly enjoyed this stop. Thankyou Jon we would not hesitate to recommend you. Our day was more than we could have hoped for.

Brigitte De Cuyper was a fantastic guide! She is from there and not only knows a lot about the battel of the Somme but also recent events that have happened over the last 50 years. Her English is excellent, she spent over a decade in the UK. We actually went to same spot the picture was taken of the guys jointly carrying the containers down the waterlogged street. It was great.

Outstanding day getting to all the battlefield sites. Our host John is an incredibly knowledgeable guide. He was able to show us all the related sites we were looking for, and answer any questions we had. I don’t think there is anyone else that could provide a more comprehensive day trip. If you want to see Vimy Ridge (especially Canadians), I urge you to book this trip. John had a perfect itinerary planned, which wasn’t rushed, but covered all the points you need to see. Beyond that, he was flexible in any other requests.

My two sons (aged 11 and 13) and I did a four-hour private tour of the Somme, the 1916 Museum, and the main sites in Albert. I could not recommend this tour more highly. Our guide, Brigitte, has a deep knowledge of WWI history and how the battle of the Somme played out over the years in the area, especially since she grew up there. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and she excelled at engaging my children and engaged them for the full four hours. She was incredibly accommodating of our interests and timeline as well. We got so much more out of our visit to see the Somme than we ever could have hoped to do on our own. Worth every penny. She created a wonderful, fascinating, and engaging afternoon in the French countryside that we will never forget.
