Cool Destinations didn't make it clear it was a physical business. Once there everything was great. Everything was taken care of. It was safe, definitely beginner friendly, life jackets provided.

Took a group of 5 managers for a team building Perseid’s meteor shower moonlit canoe excursion on Elk Lake. We have been coming to Bend now for 8 years as a group and are always looking for new experiences. This one did not disappoint. Isaac was our guide and this was one of the most incredible experiences we all have had. Isaac‘s exquisite storytelling made the trip one that we will remember for years to come. The knowledge he shared about the constellations and Greek mythology in between seeing the meteors kept us engaged the entire evening. Canoe experience level varied in our group and Isaac helped everyone feel comfortable and confident the entire time. Easy getting on and off the water and we didn’t even get our feet wet. Do plan to help pack canoes down to the water. We enjoyed the physical activity to justify the delicious cocoa and cookie break. Everyone in our group highly recommend this trip and hope that you are lucky enough to have Isaac as your guide.

I was so impressed with Rowan and the other guides on our trip! Everything was so well organized and professional. Their facility and equipment are clean, organized and well maintained. It was a great day!

Well managed activity and just as the brochures described. Van trip to lake. All kayaks set up for us… guide Kevin shared interesting history of the area while we paddled along. 5 boats in total, 2 to a kayak. Wind was up a bit making the paddle a bit more cold and wet than expected but still really enjoyable for 2+ hours of boating.

We spent an unforgettable day with Orange Torpedo Trips on the Rogue River in Merlin, Oregon, taking their Rogue River Thrill Seeker Trip.Our adventure began on the Nugget Falls section of the Rogue River, where we navigated a series of exciting Class II and III rapids before finishing with two thrilling Class IV rapids—Nugget Falls and Til’omikh Falls.After lunch, we switched gears and climbed into individual inflatable kayaks to paddle through the lower section of Hellgate Canyon. This was our first time kayaking, and it was an incredible experience. Sitting closer to the water made every rapid feel more exciting, while the inflatable kayaks offered a fun, hands-on whitewater adventure that didn't require any previous paddling experience. We floated through several Class I and II rapids, building confidence and having a blast along the way.Our guide, Rowan, was fantastic. He spent the entire day sharing interesting facts about the river, teaching us paddling techniques, and keeping us entertained with stories from his time on the water. His knowledge and enthusiasm made the experience even more memorable.It was an amazing day on the Rogue River and an adventure we'd highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun mix of rafting, kayaking, and spectacular scenery.

There was a lot of wildlife and the guide is knowledgeable. I would recommend him if you are new to the experience

Absolutely fantastic adventure! I can't recommend this highly enough. We started in kayaks for the first half of the day and enjoyed some small class II and III rapids while enjoying the deer, osprey, wild turkey, golden eagles, egrets, Canada geese, and at least two Bigfoot sightings. Our guide, Matthew, was absolutely top notch and I was deeply appreciative of his assistance since my kid and I were not experienced kayakers. It was peaceful, fun, and there were more than a few marvels along the way. We stopped for an exquisite sandwich and then things got truly amazing. We ditched the kayaks and piled into the raft for some thrilling class IV rapids that left us breathless and laughing. I have done some amazing things in my life but this trip hit the high points list for sure. Serious kudos for Matthew who kept safety at the forefront without drowning us in dire cautions. His directions were clear and easy to follow and, like all good guides, gave us great information along the way. Also kudos to Kindal who took some amazing photos that we will cherish for a lifetime. This is a great operation with a top notch crew and I encourage everyone to flood the phone lines for reservations!

Every minute of this experience was my favorite, I couldn't choose one! Every guide made me feel extremely safe, and we had THE most fun each trip we experienced. For anyone feeling nervous about rafting for the first time, or ANY time, I highly highly recommend Jefferson State Outfitters. They know exactly how to make any and everyone feel 100% safe, secure and ready for any trip you might have planned, while ALSO giving the most fun experience you could ever have. They can answer any question about the area and rivers they guide, and more! Davey, Genesis, and Matt were each such a blast to have as guides, you're not only rafting with professionals, but great people as well. 10/10 Check them out for all Rafting and River Guiding adventures!!! (P.S. Genesis is highly versed in most of the plant life around the area, be sure to pick her brain a bit for some fun facts!!)

The Night Canoe tour was outstanding. A truly wonderful experience on Lake Hosmer with views of the stars , shooting stars, and the Milky Way. Our guide Laura was knowledgeable and a great host for our group.

Our family had an awesome time! The river went from very relaxing to very exciting all in one tour. We very much enjoyed our guide Nat. He kept us entertained and had a fun, laid-back attitude. Thank you for giving us one last amazing experience on our trip through Oregon.

Awesome better than u anticipated

Our guide was professional, friendly and knowledgeable We rafted the first half of the day. Experienced 2 Class IV rapids After lunch we kayaked 6 miles. I really enjoyed this part. Our guide instructed us through the rapids. There were 2 class I. 3 class II and one class III. Very exhilarating

The three day Orange Torpedo Rogue River kayak trip was absolutely amazing. The rapids were the perfect mix of “wow, this is thrilling” and “okay, I can actually do this,” which is my ideal level of adventure. And the scenery? Stunning. Floating through the canyon gives you a whole new perspective, like the river is letting you in on a secret it doesn’t share with people who stay on land. Hunter was incredible. He’s so knowledgeable and calm that even when I flipped my kayak, I barely had time to think “uh-oh” before he had me out of the water. Honestly, I think he rescued me before I realized I needed rescuing. Scott kept us entertained with great stories and history, the kind that makes you feel like you’re getting a bonus tour. And I loved the time I spent on the raft talking food with Josh, who somehow managed to steer us down the river while also debating the finer points of good meals. Multi‑tasking at its finest. My only complaint: the cold shower at Paradise Lodge. The propane had run out, so the shower was basically a “glacier experience.” They told us we’d get a free drink with dinner to make up for it, but when we asked at the bar, the bartender had not idea what we were talking about. We didn’t push it, nothing kills the vibe faster than explaining why you deserve a pity cocktail. Even with that little hiccup, the trip was incredible. We’re already planning our next adventure with Orange Torpedo, because any company that can make me love a river enough to forgive a surprise cold shower is doing something right.
