Welcome to Oregon

In the northwestern corner of the U.S., Oregon and Washington to its north comprise the country’s Pacific Northwest region. Known for its wineries and breweries, Oregon is also famous for widely-varied, spectacular landscapes and quirky, hippie-influenced urban cultures, particularly in Portland and Eugene, the state’s first and third most populous cities. Oregon boasts several unique landmarks. Set in a 7,700-year-old collapsed volcano, pristine blue Crater Lake is the deepest in the U.S. at 1949 feet. The eighty-mile-long Columbia River Gorge reaches 4,000 feet in depth and has many lovely waterfalls. Hells Canyon in eastern Oregon is 7993 feet deep, the deepest river-cut canyon in the U.S.
